At a push, I wouldn't mind him as 4th choice in the pivot of a 4231 Quote

Obviously none of them are remotely as good as Eden, but if we were to distribute his influence among those 4, at the very worst we have stood still as a team. Quote

Got some hunger to do well in there which will serve us well this season.. Quote
Bluewolf Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Not the intended target but Mount was very quick to pick up the loose ball and fire home.. 3-2 Quote
Bluewolf Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Another from Mount after the keeper ballsed up.. 4-2 Quote
Bluewolf Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 4-3 and we continue to be easily undone at the back... Quote
Cicero Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Lamps hinting we will see more of his preferred starting XI tomorrow Quote
Bluewolf Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Missed the start but we are 3-0 up after 30 odd minutes to Salzburg.. Pulisic with 2 and Barkley with a penalty.. Quote
carefreeluke Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 (edited) Think I prefer Zouma to Rudiger. One thing’s for sure is that if they all stay, I imagine there’s going to be at least one centre back unhappy come the end of the season. Going to be hard for Lampard to keep them all happy. @RandoEFC @Cannabis What are your thoughts on Zouma last season? Edited July 31, 2019 by carefreeluke Quote

A lot will depend on how we do in the Cups and CL.. If we are getting plenty of games there is going to be some chopping and changing to keep things fresh and reduce tiredness so that will soak up some of that pressure on him but if he settles on a first choice team then probably.. Some players may be reduced to playing in cups and games maybe and then you would be right, some will be unhappy Quote
Bluewolf Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 3-1 all on Luiz that one.. far too casual with his defending allowing the ball to go for the corner in the first place and then not getting a decent challenge in to defend the cross.. Quote
carefreeluke Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Added to the Everton links, Ross Barkley has been on fire this pre-season. Class assist and great finish by Pedro. 1 Quote
Bluewolf Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Well that was a quality goal by Pedro... Great floating cross from Barkley and a cheeky mid air reverse flick from Pedro and it's in the back of the net.. 4-1 Quote
Cicero Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Defending Set pieces going to be an issue this season Quote

Bluewolf Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 (edited) Apart from the Luiz incident we have looked reasonably composed at the back tonight... Edited July 31, 2019 by Bluewolf Quote
Bluewolf Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Thought Bat was going to blow it there but fair play, stayed composed and blasted it home... 5-2 Quote
Bluewolf Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Me and my big mouth... so much for being composed at the back.. 5-3 Quote
Bluewolf Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Well, Lampard must be happy with the team and the way they are responding and shaping up but equally frustrated with our leaking defence.. Quote
Cicero Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Sone sloppy play all around. Defence looks totally unorganised. Luiz comical defending. Alonso and Zappacosta showing their poor quality. And Tomori disappointingly showing he still isn’t ready. Need Rudiger more than ever. Quote

Set-pieces seem to be a big concern and we're leaking too many goals in general at the moment also, hopefully, we can sort it out. Edited July 31, 2019 by carefreeluke Quote
