Cicero
So, based on the rumors and reports going about, if these were to be true, the following will happen in the next couple of days. - On Monday, Sarri and De Laurentiis could not come to an agreement on terms, in which Sarri has decided to step down. - Today, Sarri rejected the offer from Zenit - De Laurentis is reported to release Sarri, and appoint Ancelotti as his successor - Marina and Roman have been negotiating with Sarri and his agent on terms, in which they plan on releasing Conte. Conte is apparently set to take a break from management. Watch all of it be bollocks

True Blue
Seen the rumors, not sure how good that would be. Excellent player, probably has many connections but not sure are they good enough to make big signings.

True Blue
Six days gone since the season officially ended still nothing but rumors. At this point any of the linked managers could do well or could do shit. It is not like any of them will be a long term manager regardless of the outcome of their seasons. Cicero
We have until Thursday to activate Sarri's release clause. Much like our transfer strategy, we love waiting last minute on everything. At a point where I truly wonder if the board have any sense of competence. Liverpool got Fabinho for only 4 million more than Drinkwater. Let that sink in. Yea but Liverpool are playing attractive fast flowing attacking football these days that's why anyone with even the smallest brain cell will not join us or United if they value their freedom to express themselves on the pitch... True Blue
Quote Chelsea Football Club announces today that it has put its new stadium project on hold. No further pre-construction design and planning work will occur. The club does not have a time frame set for reconsideration of its decision. The decision was made due to the current unfavourable investment climate Basically means we are poor , source the official website
Cicero
No doubt linked to Roman's denied visa It think it's safe to say, this will be our most important summer to date. This club looks to be in absolute chaos on and off the pitch. Managerial situation, Roman's Visa issues, Hazard and Courtois' contract situation, no concrete transfers whilst our rivals continue to strengthen, having a squad filled with utterly average players, and now giving up on the hugely important stadium redevelopment. The Liquidator
If you know anything about our club you will know we have been failing in attracting serious "Investment" from almost the time we announced that was our favourable route of paying for the new stadium. Investment climate at the moment is the pits, you only have to look at the country’s economy for an idea how things are. Todays news comes as no surprise with some saying this decision was first made in February and obviously they decided to wait till the close season to announce it. Everything is still in place for work to start at any notice including Bates love nest on top of the hotel which has been paid for in full. Forget any bollocks you have read here & elsewhere including the BBC n know nothings
Cicero
Roman Abramovich remains committed to Chelsea even with the news the club owner has put its stadium redevelopment plans on hold, Sky Sports News understands. One club source has told us that it’s still “business as usual” at the West London club and that the Russian billionaire’s commitment to the club is “unwavering”. Abramovich was due to invest up to £1bn in the rebuilding project, which received planning permission last year. It was expected that Chelsea would play at an alternative venue, probably Wembley, until the start of the 2020-2021 season when the new stadium would be ready. The Liquidator
The news on Courtois today is roughly a year too late. I would have ditched him when Jose chose him over Big Pete, but would have accepted good money last summer. I know Pete can be prone to the odd mistake these days, but I ask you, has Courtois been as big an upgrade as some would have you believe? It's been an exciting day for our club and my phone has been red hot. Some think the club are trying to scare Hazard into a decision on top of the news his fav player is no longer at Madrid. Who knows? I wonder whats next?

The Liquidator
Chelsea tell Maurizio Sarri they will not pay Napoli release clause Dominic Fifield: Maurizio Sarri and his legal representatives have been left to explore ways to extricate him from the final two years of his Napoli contract as the Italian seeks to end the delay to his prospective appointment at Chelsea The Premier League club have held talks with Sarri, who was replaced by Carlo Ancelotti at Napoli this month, despite Antonio Conte , who expects to be sacked, being in situ. Discussions over a two-year deal with an option for a third season are understood to have progressed well, though Chelsea made it clear they would not meet the £7m release clause in Sarri’s contract, which was not terminated when Napoli appointed his successor. That clause expires at midnight on Thursday but, once that deadline passes, the fee to secure Sarri will have to be determined via negotiation. With relations between the Napoli owner, Aurelio de Laurentiis, and Sarri so fractured, the 59-year-old manager has been left in limbo. Napoli are aggressively seeking hefty compensation and his potential new club are far from inclined to pay In an attempt to shift the impasse Sarri’s lawyers are understood to be scrutinising whether there is a case for constructive dismissal against Napoli and could pursue the issue with Fifa. Chelsea are apparently willing to let them explore that possibility before taking any further action. There is a danger the state of flux could drag on well into next month, adding to the sense of uncertainty at Chelsea, whose ambitious plans to redevelop Stamford Bridge were shelved on Thursday. Conte has been left in the dark but, if sacked, would be due around £9m in compensation to cover the final year of his contract, if he does not find a job in the meantime. Chelsea won the Premier League and FA Cup during his two-year tenure only for relations with the hierarchy to become strained over transfer policy. Chelsea’s recruitment department, overseen by the director Marina Granovskaia, continue to put in place plans for signings. There is interest in Manchester United’s Anthony Martial and Jean Seri at Nice, and Robert Lewandowski’s apparent desire to leave Bayern Munich has been noted with interest. Just as pressing for the club, however, are the futures of players such as Thibaut Courtois, who is entering the final 12 months of his contract, and Eden Hazard, together with the record signing, Álvaro Morata. --------------------------------------------------------- Now this really could get messy.
