Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted July 11, 2021 Subscriber Share Posted July 11, 2021 Don't Brazil have Vinicus to replace Everton? He's faster, will run against defenders and plays link very well. Edit: NVM it happened.

Copa America some times leaves me underwhelmed, and it clashing with the Euros (and 1am kick offs) hasn't helped, but a final between these two teams will always be worth watching. Interestingly FIFA are exploring the possibility of a Euros winner v Copa America winner cup match, to be introduced in 2025, it's a shame they're going to wait that long especially when playing it this winter as a test in Qatar could potentially see Argentina play England for the first time since 2005, and first competitive match since 2002. Would hope that opportunity makes them get on with it. https://www.marca.com/en/football/international-football/2021/07/04/60e219cae2704e37998b4644.html They did something like that called the confederations cup. They scrapped it after the 2017 edition what is old is new again
El Profesor
The state of Maracanã's pitch is atrocious. Both teams can barely pass the ball.
Eco
This game has been so disappointing. No real flow or rythym, no flashes of brilliance like what we are used to with these teams, just a bunch of tactical fouls and poor in front of the net. I think he saw glory then he saw the ball then he didnt know what to do and the rest is there for the whole world to see. If you wanted that pass to fall to anyone inside the box it was Messi. Oh well, they'll still win this.
Eco
This Brazilian team is the perfect example of a talented team without a plan. This has been so poor from Brazil in terms of quality and planning.

Eco
Glad Messi got his title, but he was trash today. Di Maria was the only player on the pitch who appeared ready to play. Thought Neymar played well, but Argentina clearly just were instructed to foul him at every opportunity. Poor final to an otherwise decent tournament. De Paul was hands down the best player on the pitch tonight. Both ends. Absolute warrior and he is Portugal’s Eder. Finally. It ends. Messi gets his international trophy and the best part, he didn’t have to do shit. Para Diego.

De Paul was also good, but I would say Di Maria was the MOTM, and for more than just his goal, although that was a calm finish. Never thought Messi would win his first real International Title and be so poor. Oh well, good for him to be done with that.
