Chilwell did the same thing for Soyuncu on a tweet at the weekend (can't remember who he compared him to) and literally no-one picked him up on it. Not saying that he should have. More that Silva shouldn't have been punished either for it.

I wonder if the FA asked Mendy about it? Surely as the person involved you ask for their opinion and if any offence has been taken?

Probably because it's not really the same thing

I think the argument is that it's not about Mendy taking offence, it's about Bernardo Silva promoting harmful stereotypes. The FA should be doing more to publicise that reasoning, because right now it looks a bit silly and fuels the "It's PC gone mad! Can't say nothing anymore" stuff

It's a shame Bernardo Silva doesn't share a dressing room with someone strongly opposed to racism. I'm sure if he did, that person would've had a word about why posts like that are bad, and certainly wouldn't have publicly defended it

Manchester City post record £535.2m revenue in 2018-19 annual report

Manchester City brought in a record £535.2m last season, the club's 2018-19 annual report says.

It was City's 11th successive year of revenue growth and closes the gap on local rivals Manchester United, the Premier League's richest club.

The figure is projected to rise again next year given City have already qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Payments from a £45m-a-year Puma kit deal will also start to take effect.

United have already said their turnover will fall to between £560m and £580m this year because of their failure to qualify for the Champions League.

The period covers a campaign when City's men's and women's teams won a combined six trophies, including a clean sweep of English domestic honours for Pep Guardiola's side.

"This outcome represents not just a season, but a decade of hard work," said Blues chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak. "The organisation is now at a level of maturity that allows us to plan in multi-year cycles."

City recorded a profit of £10.1m and a wage/turnover ratio of 59%.

Here's me on 3 grand a month and that little shit spends that  on takeaways o.O

They shouldn't be allowed to earn this kind of money for kicking a ball around a field mate, it's obscene  ..for me, no player should get more than 10k a week then clubs could lower ticket prices to £10 a game

Manchester City have opened talks with forward Raheem Sterling about a new long-term contract.

Sterling, 24, signed a deal in November 2018 that runs to 2023 but City are keen to secure his future.

It is understood any new contract would see him become one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.

He won the 2018-19 Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year award and has been praised for his public stance on racism in society.

We got him tied down for the next 4 years, no need for contract talks at this time
