Cicero Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Close to completing a £46m deal to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla for the summer.
Cicero Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 First signing of the Boehly era? Quote Jules Kounde continues to be Chelsea's main target and they seek to complete it as soon as the sanctions end. Sevilla have urged #CFC to do it ASAP too. https://t.co/fwfbeiWQFL — Nizaar Kinsella (@NizaarKinsella) May 18, 2022
OrangeKhrush Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 If Kounde goes to chelsea, we may end up with Diego Carlos as Sevilla will be cashing in, we tried to get Carlos in January but the 40m asking was way to much for a 28-29 year old.

Sevilla always ‘cash in’ and replace them with someone just as good for peanuts.
OrangeKhrush Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 we offered Sevillas 70m for Kounde in January and they refused. i don't think anyone will meet Sevillas value
Cicero Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Expected to be completed in the region of £42-50m according to Matt Law. This one dragged on didn't it. Highly rated supposedly so hoping he can fit right in.
Cicero Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 We've revived our interest. Much like Sterling and Koulibaly hope Boehly just pays what Sevilla want. Tried to toy with Sevilla last summer and they upped the price.

I think City are also said to be in the mix and PSG, so he could end up anywhere at this point.
True Blue Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Hope we don't get him, it has been dragging for nearly a year. They want too much, then we gave up now we are interested again. Barcelona also interested to buy another player with the money the don't have and we are the dirty club who manages everything with money. Barca can have him
Dave Posted July 20, 2022 Author Posted July 20, 2022 Whilst Chelsea went a bit of a complex route to do it they've seemingly ended up with the best two defenders people assumed they could realistically attract at the start of this transfer window. Exciting times ahead.
Cicero Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 Almost a done deal according to reports. Barcelona making last ditch efforts in requesting Kounde to reject our deal.
Cicero Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 #Chelsea are expected to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde later today for a fee of around £55M. Barcelona could not match the offer as their main focus is registering their new signings. [via @TimesSport] Seems done. Imagine if Barca can't register Raphinha or Lewandowski.
Michael Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Kounde is a quality defender. I have always been impressed with him when watching Seville play and he would be a great signing for Chelsea. Hopefully he can adapt quickly to the rigours and demands of the Premier League.
Cicero Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Jules Kounde will sign a contract with Chelsea until 2027 having already agreed personal terms. #CFC have fought off competition from Barcelona, who haven't made a formal counter-offer since they couldn't match Chelsea's £55m fee. Only formalities remain between #CFC & Sevilla. — Ben Jacobs (@JacobsBen) July 22, 2022
Dave Posted July 22, 2022 Author Posted July 22, 2022 A bit surprised Sevilla have been sitting on this waiting for Barcelona to match the fee. 1, They're your direct rivals. 2, Good luck getting the money if its paid in installments.

Probably wanted to use it to force Chelsea's hand into paying more...

It's going to be a "wait until he's holding the shirt" saga.
Cicero Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 He's practically a Barcelona player. Only one outcome when they say their preferred destination is Barcelona. We also don't have a great relationship with Monchi. Some suggesting they rather sell to a direct fucking rival than to us.
