Moderator Tommy Posted June 17, 2021 Moderator Posted June 17, 2021 Axel Witsel back 5 months after tearing his achilles tendon? What kind of voodoo is that?
Moderator Tommy Posted June 17, 2021 Moderator Posted June 17, 2021 Is it pathetic dive day? First that Ukrainian and now Denmark's Damsgaard.
Moderator Tommy Posted June 17, 2021 Moderator Posted June 17, 2021 De Bruyne turns the match around for Belgium. 2-1. Nice finish that.
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted June 17, 2021 Subscriber Posted June 17, 2021 KDB rocket to give Belgium the lead.
6666 Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Brilliant from Lukaku for the goal. Easily their best player.
montybhopa Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Denmark really should have taken chances in the first half
Cicero Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Execution of that goal from KDB, on his weaker foot, was sheer class.

Dunno how he keeps falling upwards in his career
El Profesor Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Best decision of Lukaku´s career was moving to Inter to play under Conte. He´s grown a lot as a player under a coach that truly values him. It´s a shame that he didn´t join Conte before, at Chelsea.

Dunno how he keeps falling upwards in his career In fairness, considering the standards of international football coaching Martínez is at least average. I´m by no means a Belgium football expert, but it seems that their problem is that it seems that the new generation of players is not as good, so they don´t have much depth and the defence is a bit old.

They got two 30 year olds and Boyata in there like can you imagine Boyata, hes not even Championship level player

That's probably true, but I think usually when you've got an international side that's this good on paper... you usually see them managed by a better manager than someone like Roberto Martinez. The obvious exception to this rule would probably be the England national team

I think he's probably better than championship level based on that alone.
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted June 17, 2021 Subscriber Posted June 17, 2021 Denmark should really have equalized by now.

Moderator Tommy Posted June 17, 2021 Moderator Posted June 17, 2021 Really harsh if Denmark go out of this competition, based on the circumstances of their first loss.

But Conte also made Lukaku do extra sessions to improve his build up play and made him change his diet. He´s a better player now.

Playing in Bundesliga means nothing lmao. Its not like he's playing for RB, BVB or Bayern. You compare it to the defence of other 'favourites' its pure trash. The defence is on par with Sweden

If they win in their last game against Russia(which is very possible), then they could still advance, couldn't they? I am not sure how the standings work in the group if teams are level on points. What is the 1st thing they look at, is it goal difference or is it the head to heads encounters between the teams in question?
