Richarlison out for 3/4 weeks with a calf strain. Townsend injured with a suspected broken bone in his foot.

That fat cunt better bring Digne back into the fold instead of this pathetic power play of his. We get it, you have a massive fragile ego over your eye-bleedingly shite tactics that have delivered 1 win in 3 months and have us sat 14th in the league absolutely miserable to a man.

You want to play Godfrey as a full back? Absolutely fine, then play Digne on the left, drop Coleman who wouldn't get a game in my Sunday League side on current form and put Godfrey on the right, he might even be able to cross the ball one time in ten from that side as well.

I'd love to see Digne back and a couple of the younger players involved but the fact is we're going to line up like this and get battered:

Pickford

Coleman Holgate Keane Godfrey

Doucoure Delph Gomes

Gordon Rondon Gray

The subs will be Iwobi when we go 2-0 down early in the second half and Jonjoe Kenny in the last five minutes when we're 4-0 down. Either no third sub or Tosun will come on and be shit for a minute and a half. Meanwhile Ellis Simms and Lewis Dobbin who have excelled in the youth teams will sit on the bench reflecting on the fact that both Rondon and Tosun are still getting games in the Premier League because we have a shite manager who thinks "inexperience" is a bigger obstacle for a professional football player than literally being unable to run.

FT: Chelsea 5-0 Everton.

God help anyone who wants to figure that formation out fucking hell. Not sure where Rondon is but about time Simms got an opportunity.

Kenny on the right, Godfrey on the left with the others in a middle three. Iwobi wide right with Gordon on the left - Simms up top to jog about chasing shadows for 90 minutes.

Expect it to be about 4-0 at HT, would snatch your arm off for a P-P.

We're missing Mina, Digne, Townsend, Gray, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin with Allan and Coleman only fit enough to make the bench. That's 8 of our 10 probable starting outfield players although I'd argue we wouldn't play Townsend, Gray, Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison all together. Also missing Tom Davies and Rondon from the pool of senior players. Really looks like the sort of side you put out in your first pre-season friendly.

Chelsea could be several goals ahead. Still I don't hate what I've seen from the players we've put out. Better intensity than the Palace game but it begs the question where was it then? Holgate has turned into a walking disaster though. Don't know what's happened to him as he was really starting to come along under Silva at one point.

All teams have games where they play better and have more intensity. Even the best teams in the world

Not really the point though is it? Everton don't just have the occasional off day. They very frequently just don't turn up at all, which is why it's even commentworthy that some of them actually look like they're trying out there tonight. It's the bare minimum expectation and we don't even see it 50% of the time.

Thats why your where you are because players arent consistent. Doenst mean the players arent trying. You can try and still have a shit game

Just going to be one of those hard slog nights... plenty of the ball and no decent end product

Burnley and United all over again. Patiently waiting for which one of our players will gift Everton their goal.

Mount has been embarrassingly wasteful.
