OrangeKhrush Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 The treatment of Jesse Lingard in this window is rather poor form from Man United, The only additional clause we would probably be prepared to add is a sign on clause that should Lingard be signed to a long term deal with us then we pay say 2-3m extra but the 12.5m was Man U being petty as they are one of a few clubs that have made it clear they don't like us and are threatened by it. The signing of Guimaraes and probably a few others will probably turn Lingard's interest and if Lingard does anything similar to last season with West Ham it ultimately helps Man United's pursuit for champions league football but tripping up rivals.

It was probably excessive but at the time Longstaff broke out and was vital that season. It is not uncommon. Lingard is very different, Man United have no value in him, he won't get a game.

That cunt Darcie Glazer has never stepped foot in Old Trafford, yet makes millions off dividends. Surprised she’s not driven him to Gateshead if I’m honest.

6666 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 You need a central defender more than an attacking midfielder right now.

I can see a CB and LB coming in.

Pogba is a hard no. Lingard should really not be as hard as it has been.
Guest Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 I'm guessing lingard has stayed because of the Greenwood situation

Interim United boss Ralf Rangnick told Lingard, 29, he could leave if an acceptable offer was received. However, it became clear United were not willing to substantively alter their stance on deadline day. They did not want to let Lingard join a top-four rival in West Ham and demanded a hefty clause in any deal with Newcastle should they avoid relegation. England international Lingard spent a productive spell on loan at West Ham in the second half of the 2020-21 season, scoring nine goals in 16 appearances. But he has started just two games in all competitions for the Red Devils since returning to Old Trafford. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60203322
