For those wondering about the bonus question in the predictions, this is stoppage number 1.

Man, this has been manipulated.

Bloody hell. Is Mick okay?

He's fine. The car ripped in half but it was more to do with the angle of collision between the rear end and the barriers than it was to do with the outright size of the impact.

Should be okay to continue today then. Given the amount of time it can take for races to start up again

Why did Max not get a penalty despite crossing the pitlane exit line?

Good question. It looked like Leclerc was right up his back on the way up the hill as well so arguably it helped him keep a position.

It's a great weekend from Perez anyway and a much deserved win. 15 points behind Max in the championship and 6 behind Charles. We're not going to see him outperforming Max like this too often but with his speed and consistency, he's hovering pretty close to that Hamilton/Rosberg type margin where he could end up in genuine title contention if Max has the lion's share of reliability issues in the team.

Looking from the angle of Leclerc's onboard on F1TV, it looks like Max didn't actually cross it, just drove on the line for the very last meter or so.

Bear with me here but Charles had lost the race before that. Perez had already got ahead of him by putting the Inters on early and making the undercut work. Sainz had already got ahead of him by making the bold call to skip Inters and hold onto the Wets a bit longer to make one stop instead of two. Max Verstappen then had to queue behind his team mate too in the pits like Leclerc, so maybe Charles would have been 3rd by staying out an extra lap on Intermediates instead of stacking behind Sainz but I'm not even convinced by that.
