Administrator Stan Posted June 28, 2023 Administrator Posted June 28, 2023 Quote The Ghanaian star has emerged as one of the most sought-after talents in Europe, with fellow Premier League side Manchester United also thought to be interested in a deal. However should the Seagulls win that particular race, then they will be looking at breaking their club record spend on a single player for the second time in the same window Kudus has also had interest from Everton and Liverpool in the past and is keen to leave Amsterdam this summer with a move to the Premier League favoured, and the player has reportedly rejected a one-year contract extension at Ajax. Brighton are in the market for an attacking player with Alexis Mac Allister departing earlier in the transfer window to Liverpool on a £35m deal and Kudus - who plays in a similar role - could be a good addition to the squad. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12240545/Brighton-hold-talks-Mohammed-Kudus-Ajax-holding-40m.html

But at the same time, I think part of a draw for players with big potential moving to Brighton is the fact it's something of a stepping stone - you get a chance to prove yourself in the prem and that can be what's needed to get you to a big club. I think Brighton could benefit the same way Sevilla and Red Bull Leipzig have done by bringing in players with high potential and making it clear to them that they won't get in the way too much if a big club is interested... provided they get paid a fair amount. I imagine there's a compromise to be made here where Brighton can concede a release clause - but probably at a higher value that Kudus might want, but would still be willing to accept if he's got faith in his abilities.
El Profesor Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Alvarez, Ward-Prose, Paquetá and Kudus is a really strong midfield. West Ham could repeat Roma's feat of reaching Europa League final after winning the Conference League in the previous season.

Danny Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 Big signing. But make no mistake, Moyes is signing him to do sprints up and down the touchline.
6666 Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 No offence to West Ham but he deserves a bigger move than this.
