God is Haaland Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Since lap 23 or 24 Vettel is driving with a damaged front axis, which is why he needs to steer 20° to the left in order to drive straight. Quote

They should have let Raikkonen pass as he was the faster car. Now he's being held up and given Hamilton a chance to close in and put pressure on at the least. Quote
Administrator Stan Posted July 30, 2017 Administrator Posted July 30, 2017 Vettel wins, Raikkonen 2nd Top day for Ferrari. Quote
God is Haaland Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Vettel driving securing the victory in a broken car Raikönnen defending his 2nd place while being stuck behind Vettel Bottas allowing Lewis to attack the two Ferraris Hamilton letting Bottas trough again Verstappen crashing DR Quote
Subscriber JoshBRFC+ Posted July 30, 2017 Subscriber Posted July 30, 2017 (edited) Shocking from Ferrari not letting Kimi past earlier on in the race. Why???? Fair play to Mercedes as a whole, giving Lewis a chance as he was faster and then Lewis letting Bottas back past. They're definitely more of a team this season at Mercedes. Feel for Ricciardo and Kimi. Edited July 30, 2017 by JOSHBRFC Quote
Moderator Tommy Posted July 30, 2017 Moderator Posted July 30, 2017 So in the end Ferrari did everything right as this was the best possible result for the championship. Would have been a shame if Kimi's race got ruined by being held up though. Quote

The cause for this was probably some mechanic's fault or a faulty part, kerbing just made the problem worse. Edited July 30, 2017 by True Bender Quote
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted July 30, 2017 Subscriber Posted July 30, 2017 Dramatic start, tense race, anti-climactic. Hamilton did well to let Bottas back through because with the gap there he could have got away with not doing it. Quote

God is Haaland Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Nascar drivers can't understand what's wrong here. This bastard cut me off. Can you believe it? Metalonso https://streamable.com/ajpsl So Magnussen called Hülkenberg 'one of the dirtiest drivers' before the race. After Magnussen had made 2 dirty moves on Hülkenberg this race, Hülkenberg confronted him during an interview. Quote
Moderator Tommy Posted July 30, 2017 Moderator Posted July 30, 2017 I didn't even know that Magnussen can be such a cunt. Quote
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted July 30, 2017 Subscriber Posted July 30, 2017 We'll see how it goes. We have Belgium and Italy next which should both play to Mercedes' strengths. Apart from the first few flyaway races, Mercedes have had the edge on speed at pretty much every track besides the full-downforce tracks Monaco and Hungary. Someone quite rightly said today though that Ferrari and Red Bull were both competitive at Austria which should have been a Mercedes track too, so we don't know. The remaining races should suit Mercedes - Belgium, Italy, Malaysia. Ferrari - Singapore, maybe Japan and maybe Abu Dhabi. Hard to say - United States, Mexico, Brazil. It's worth noting that Red Bull are likely to be close to the front at Singapore and probably Japan too. Quote

God is Haaland Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Magnussen pushed him off the track a few laps earlier, too, but i can't find teh footage. Quote
Moderator Tommy Posted July 31, 2017 Moderator Posted July 31, 2017 I'm in Hülkenberg's corner about the Grosjean & Magnussen stuff, but this is cringy. Quote

Subscriber JoshBRFC+ Posted July 31, 2017 Subscriber Posted July 31, 2017 So at the end of the season will it be Hamilton or Vettel? Not who you want to win but who do we all think will win? Genuine 50/50 and very hard to call for me. Exciting times ahead. Quote
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted August 2, 2017 Subscriber Posted August 2, 2017 Kubica fastest this morning in testing. No doubt they took some of the fuel out and did a fast run just to grab the headlines. The more positive publicity this move gets, the more they can justify putting him in the car next year or even as soon as Belgium. Quote
