I know from my army days I liked Carlsburg and still do today or a Carling Black Label. The wife picked these up from Iceland for the new year as we both only like bottled beers or lagers and not cans, anybody tried these and what are they like? Reluctant Striker Posted December 31, 2023 Share Posted December 31, 2023 Yes, I tend toward the lagers. Budweiser quite good, but I do prefer Holsten. Bud has had a much better sales pitch over the years. Holsten is now owned by Danish Carlsberg, which is an awful drink. Strange how that worked out. Locally Fosters & the actually local Carling tend to be the most readily available from the barrel lagers in pubs & restaurants. Wines with meals. Spirits & liqueurs for special occasions.
