Where on earth has it all gone?

It's just a poor side. I expected a lot more from Newcastle this summer.

We can't get rid of past mistakes. They won't budge and Mike Ashley won't write them off on our finances.

Henri Saivet, Emmanual Riviere, Siem De Jong, Massadio Haidara, Achraf Laazar, Grant Hanley, Jack Colback, Tim Krul and even Mitrovic.

With the exception of 1 or 2 they are all on between £30-60k a week EACH and none of them have any part to play under Rafa. That is over £14m in wages for a club whose wage bill is capped at 50% by the board, therefore that is about 25% of our wage bill going to players with nothing to do with the first team! When you deduct those players from the total that means Newcastle United, one of the richest clubs in the world, has the first team wage bill of somewhere between Burnley and Watford, the same as what Middlesbrough just got relegated with.

Mike Ashley says he won't be putting anymore of his money into the club. Fine. Use a BANK LOAN then. If we are to protect our revenue by being in the Premier League we are going to have to go to the bank to write off these past mistakes and get Rafa the space and money to solidify the club.

I really assumed that Huddersfield would be quashed by everyone... Guess I was wrong, however still on par with the fact I think United will win it this year.

That was a really fucking good free kick. It feels like a cup final, which makes sense because it's in Wembley lol. But if it does something psychological for Spurs opposition this season that's a bit funny.

It does have a hint of that....

Will Chelsea go up the Wembley steps if they win?

Not been a great place for us lately Wembley...

Very decent game to watch so far. Tactical battle which Conte is coming out on top of. What a free kick it was from Alonso though.

Pretty decent half...

Spurs battling back hard and had nearly all the ball in the final 15 minutes of that half. I expect them to come out all guns blazing second half looking for an early goal and we need to be alert to that..

Not posting for the words of that tweet but for the picture. I couldn't believe he didn't at least get booked. Studs into someones head over 5ft off the ground and leaves the bloke bleeding.

The commentators said nothing at all because they didn't want to spoil the big Huddersfield wankfest.

Was going to mention that but we all know how crap the consistency is among officials... each game is strictly down to how each ref feels on the day rather than using a clear cut letter of the law system..

Tottenham piling on the pressure. Must be wondering how they're not at least level.

Wait until they play Liverpool.

We don't have anyone in the side that can drive the side on and its always been a problem for us... that's what you need at times like this when you are up against it and need to show you are up for the fight..

Willian's turn to hit the post. Long range effort. Chelsea hitting on the counter as they defend Spurs' attacks more comfortably.
