that's when 2.Bundesliga games are played most weeks on a Monday isn't it?

Yes, it has been like that for quite a while too, I always wonder how do away fans manage to attend those, you basically need to have both Monday and Tuesday off to make it...

what are (standard) German working hours? Are transport links good for getting to away games? The fact you say you have to have Monday off as well makes me think not but depends where/who you're playing I guess.

Depends on the industry, but it's usually 8 hour day + 30 min or an hour for lunch, so until 5-6pm usually. Not to forget the time spent commuting to and from work. Can't tell much about current transport links, I haven't been to Europe/Germany for 4 years... train connections are decent in general, but imagine having to travel a few hundred kilometers after work during peak times and then back at night, it's hardly viable.

haha trust me we get screwed over in England so much by TV companies (namely Sky and BT).

There's no regard or respect for fans by these TV companies picking ridiculous times for kick-offs, without taking in to account the effect on the fans.

A few seasons ago Sky Sports moved a Plymouth vs Newcastle game from standard Saturday 3pm slot to Monday night.

7 hour journey, 900 mile round trip. Insane. To be fair to the Newcastle lot, they travel very well to away games and always in high numbers. Think that was the day they could have (and did) won the league so must have been worth it.

Oh I know, fans in England are completely fucked by commercialisation of football, that's just insane... That's why I have so much respect for those supporters who actually invest so much time and money into following their club, that's real dedication there, too bad it's hardly appreciated by most club these days.

What is going on in Munich - Lewandowski, Muller and Kimmich on the bench - Robben misses a penalty and my Fantasy team is already trashed for this weekend with Hertha losing last night as well. Another poor attempt at a goal as I type - pity Bayer are not playing as bad as this!

presumably Lewandowski and Muller rested for the Champions League tie in mid-week. Given that their lead is so big in Bundesliga they can afford to rest a few and maybe drop points!
