Germany National Team Discussion

I think Kroos could see the writing on the wall; this probably being his last chance to be starting anyways. Who else would be contemplating this? Probably Hummels and Müller would be the two that come to mind but the other side of this is the world cup is already next year. I would bet they stick around until after that anyways.

Edit: just saw this about Müller

Müller with some pointed but pretty tame criticism.

In his newsletter Thomas Muller criticizes the tactics of Joachim Löw at EURO2020: “With our efforts to remain without conceding a goal through a rather wait-and-see, compact defensive strategy, we have de facto failed.” For Müller, Germany “deserved to be eliminated.”

Genuinely happy for both Uduokhai and Richter.

Also, glad for Arnold, as I think he definitely should have been on the Euro squad but ya know....Lowe.

So Benedikt Höwedes will do a traineeship as a DFB-Manager. Looks like he could become Oliver Bierhoff's successor in the long run.

Genuine question, why  do DFB need a general director? It's not like they had to buy their squad and they got their financial director, a PR manager, and a president for the finanancial, media and representative aspects of the job. Is it just me, who's a bit under the impression Bierhoff's job is rather dispensable?

Yea, I'd say the same. Maybe he's meeting with sponsors or organizes certain stuff. But I'm sure they got it done before his position even existed.
