Source: https://www.businessinsider.com/netanyahu-shared-fake-tv-clip-pandemic-iran-hiding-coronavirus-deaths-2020-4?utm_source=reddit.com What a scumbag. Pandemic sweeps across the world... better use it to push for a fucking war against a hard hit country struggling with the virus. Having said that, I’m sure Iran is lying it’s arse off about the number of cases and deaths. But tbh at this point, I think with the state of leadership in the world we’re seeing a lot of that because we’ve got some of the most ill suited world leaders for a crisis like this. Israel is not testing it's Arab population as per sources, won't be that dangerous for themselves Quote

This will really hurt producing countries especially KSA, they can still make money, but will have to produce a shitload more which reduces the price even more if they do. Dr. Gonzo Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 @Azeem, have you heard any specific details about the big Iran-China trade deal? Iranian nationalists, both in Iran and abroad, seem to hate it. It’s weirdly put some people that hate Ahmadinejad using his vocal criticism of the deal as their own words. Pragmatically though, does Iran really have any choice but to enter into a deal with China? They can’t really turn to the US or EU (especially not now), and the parts of Asia that rely heavily on trading with the west - South Korea’s absolutely fucked them too by refusing to pay for $7b worth of oil they imported... so Russia and China are all they have left to turn to... and China’s the superpower not Russia. But these big trade deals with China tend to mean ceding a lot of influence and control of their country to Beijing. For a country that’s had terrible experiences with foreign meddling and for a regime that’s held the position that foreign influence should get the fuck out of Iran since 1979... it’s a pretty controversial topic. Don't know anything else what's been made public/leaked, it's a big deal that will make the GCC uncomfortable, but this isn't something new or in response to Trump's aggression, it was coming West pushed Iran into a Russia China alliance. I think Iran really needs someone to fill the void for a short term, be it China or Russia. Iran should try to milk China as much as they can build infrastructure etc putting China's long term goal behind for a while. 1 Quote
Michael Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 There has been a large blast reported in Beirut, Lebanon. The Lebanese are really having it tough right now, what with the huge financial and corruption problems that they are experiencing. This explosion is yet another piece of bad news that they could do without. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-53656220 Quote
