  3. Suppose it has nothing to do with how success has been monopolised within the Premier League, just completely down to teams in the north being shit. The league really isn’t missing out from your Bolton’s or Blackburn’s not being in it, not to mention your Burnley’s, Hull etc. If any clubs are then I’d say it’s your Sunderland’s, Leeds and a Sheffield club. And for quality of atmosphere you could definitely drop a Bournemouth, Brighton or Fulham.

Well ended 10-0 to Queensberry Wilder went to sleep and triple D broke Hrgovic's face, was the fight of the night, blood everywhere

  6. Reality is that Dortmund struggled under the pressure. Lack of composure in front of goal, silly yellow cards for dissent and couldn’t break Madrid down when they had then pinned back. Madrid however were just waiting for their chance, actually defended well all things considered, had a couple near misses with Bellingham and ultimately the more composed team won on the night.
  7. The problem is that if they had Man City vs Arsenal, Spurs vs Chelsea and Man Utd vs Liverpool on the last day then they don't get to milk each of those big games for a whole weekend at different points throughout the season. All about money and viewing figures from their perspective. They won't see it as missing a trick.
  8. Madrid are just very good at winning this tournament. Dortmund needed that first goal to cause a problem. They did really well though.
  9. An actual winner! Two questions for @Dan: do we count the winning boost on bet365 or not? Just to know whether that's £10 > £110 or £10 > £135? Also, am I right in thinking I have the option to risk that because I've only backed a single so far? It's not a rule I've taken advantage of but it strikes me now that if I've got the option of risking £135 on a second bet then I might as well because if I can win an Evens bet I'll end the season, incredibly, in the green .
  10. I think I'm happy Olympiacos won. Still feels like Villa missed out. But at least it was the tournament winner who defeated them.
  11. I mean, there's nowhere to go but down after Andrea Bocelli sang in the Leicester title celebration, right? That season was the peak of Premier League imo.
  12. Man United & Liverpool are England's Real Madrid & Barcelona. Celtic & Rangers. River Plate & Boca Juniors. Man City & Chelsea are the modern money sides. They seem fairly unique to England. Perhaps PSG their most similar comparison? Other than that, it's mostly noisy banter. With a few clubs here or there having way more hype than they truly merit. At either ends of the country. While some clubs would have caused more wet knickers if they had done what Leicester & West Ham have done in the last number of years. Even Wolves, Bournemouth & Brighton too.
  13. Scary thing is that Real Madrid's core is very young and they're about to add Mbappé and Endrick. Not to mention the fact that Arda Guler seems to be the real deal in the midfield. Even with Kroos retiring, one can probably count on Real Madrid winning at least 1 or 2 Champions League title before the end of the decade. I wish I were a Real Madrid fan, it must be great.
  14. Real is just such a tough out in this competition man. Unfortunate for Dortmund the first half was there for them.
  15. Dortmund needed to take their chances in the first half. They've not been able to do anything in the 2nd half.
  16. Further to the point then. Two northern teams got relegated last year. If they were so good and better, why didn't they stay up? Or maybe it's not actually to do with location or geography of the teams and there's differing reasons for the diminishing quality of the league.

2nd fight ford vs ball, was a draw for me. judges give it Ball 2-0 Queensberry
  18. Carvajal header opens the deadlock! Had a similar one that went over about 10 mins ago. Dortmund didn't learn their lesson.
  19. He is right though, the North (particularly the North West) is the capital of English football. The Midlands/South is a massive step down in terms of history, fanbase etc.
