  1. Our next league match is only in two weeks, so a new head coach would have some time to prepare for the remaining 3 matches. That said, who would we appoint? I think we have absolutely no good interim solution, so Kohfeldt will stay... Maybe put Thomas Schaaf in charge for the remainder of the season and hope for the repeat of 1999.

  2. Granted, this is about running out of energy that they are allowed to use, not running out of energy completely. Apparently the starting battery capacity is 52kWh, but for every minute spent behind safety car, the amount of energy each driver may use is reduced by 1kWh - and there were 5 safety car phases in the race, meaning that 19kWh were cut from the allowed amount of energy for each car. So definitely a miscalculation by the race control, but either way, they just keep on making a mockery out of themselves.. A complete farce. They even put a chicane in the middle of the straight to give the cars an additional heavy braking zone as a recharge opportunity.

  6. To say the current format of the Champions League is fine is to be ignorant as to why the ESL existed in the first place. For the past 16 years the Champions League finalists have all been clubs offered a place in the ESL. For the past 16 years it has not deviated away from those clubs. For clarity and just to pick an easy round number, of the last 20 finals, both finalists in 17 of them have been occupied by clubs who were offered a spot in the ESL. Of the 20 finals prior, only 6 of those finals were contested by two clubs eventually picked for the ESL. Conveniently the beginning of the ESL offered clubs domination in Europe began as TV money started to run football and started to drive the Champions League’s business model. The Champions League as a competition has been shaped so that it continuously benefits the biggest clubs financially, prolonging their dominance in the competition. UEFA and the Champions League competition are not for fair competition, they were just upset that the clubs were going to take the money for themselves. The fact that the new Champions League format’s biggest changes revolve around making more money for the ESL clubs through more games and allowing big clubs who fail to qualify a way back into the competition is indicative of the elitist mentality that UEFA have been encouraging for the past two decades. UEFA aren’t annoyed that the notion of fair competition was eroded by the formation of the ESL, they themselves have continuously encouraged it by financially doping these clubs for years, they’re just upset that their competition is not involved.

  7. Even if you wanted Leno out, there's have a dozen keepers I'd have in the squad first over Nubel Neuer, Trapp, Ter Stegen, Baumann ect.

  8. I think the format is fine, but the qualification method is ridiculous. Having 14 non Champions automatically qualify, just because of the league they play in, is farcical. The Champions League is shutting off to the other leagues in Europe and has bent over for the big leagues, only for the club's to decide even that wasn't enough. Instead of opening up to these leagues and solving the 'Ajax problem' that way, they just add them on at the bottom and couldn't possibly think that perhaps Ajax might be more worthy than the fourth best team in England / Spain / Italy or Germany. The irony of these teams in these leagues wearing the 'Earn It' t-shirts has obviously been lost on then.
