So recently my wife bought a egg incubator in the hope of raising a group of ducks for our garden. At first I was a little bit negative about the idea of having ducks as pets but having this period at home I've actually started looking forward to it. We started out with five eggs knowing at best we'd be looking at 2 maybe 3 if we we're lucky but after hitting bad luck we are down to one, but this one egg has battled hard and when we've screened it we can see movement and our one little duck is due to be born this weekend. Has anyone else had pet ducks or Chickens? What have I got to look forward to?4 points

No, this is how it went. I live with three women, they own me and ever decision other than a set few seems to go their way. Five years ago I booked a holiday of my choice and they agreed as long as I agreed to buy a dog. So I said yeah, why not. The dog they decided on was a Chihuahua, personally I didn't want a big dog anyway so I thought it was their dog anyway and they'd be responsible for it.. I was wrong, I walk it, I basically do everything for him. Yet they do millions of photos with him and make out they are the best owners of all time. He's even had a photo on a kids scooter. To be honest I love him now, he wouldn't have been my first choice but it's hard to not love an animal once they show you love.3 points

Not exactly as pets, but we used to raise chicken and ducklings on my grandma's homestead when I was a kid. Main thing - keep their food and their bedding dry, and their water clean. Also, they don't like direct sun and strong wind, so keep that in mind when you plan their "housing". What have you got to look forward to? A lot of cleaning. Ducks are very messy animals, and it's important to clean their surroundings daily, as otherwise you'll soon have issues with parasites and whatnot. Very important - don't keep a single duck. They are highly social animals who don't particularly like human company, and need to have other ducks to stay happy and healthy. So if you only have one, definitely look to get at least another one as soon as possible. They are definitely very fun, though!2 points

He did not manage to avoid relegation in the first season and i think that was also due to the fact that he really wanted to play his kind of football and didn't take enough account of the players we had. After relegation, we brought in a lot of young and talented players and played some fantastic football for a few months, which was really good. After that, however, things gradually went downhill and with Corona at the latest, we completely lost our balance. Many people in Duisburg think that it was the coach's fault, but in my opinion it was also due to the fact that we simply had a very small squad that was not designed to play every three days. Lieberknecht also made mistakes and I can't completely absolve him of blame. Last season we had a very bad start and Lieberknecht was then sacked. However, we also lost a lot of games and the newcomers didn't fit Lieberknecht's style of play at all. I'm still puzzling over who was ultimately responsible. At least in the press, Lieberknecht spoke very positively about most of the new players. On top of that, he had bad luck with injuries and had to leave. So I have mixed feelings about Lieberknecht. His idea of the game is very good but sometimes i could not understand his decisions and the defence was actually constantly a problem. There was often a lack of balance. Nevertheless: If I had the chance I would bring him back immediately, because I don't think we will see a coach of his quality in Duisburg again in the near future.2 points

God its good to hear from this man again. As usual hes absolutely 100% bang on and tapped in. I do think hes a little wrong on the crisis scale though, its without a doubt crisis time.2 points

No, but I was very tempted to include a question "Name the player who faked his identity in order to hide the fact that he was playing for HSV"2 points

Wife got into a back accident a couple of months ago and totaled my car (Mazda). So we went out and decided to buy us both a new car, and since we love VW's reliability and drivability, we got two brand new cars on the same day. My wife got the VW Tiguan R Line similar to this - I got the VW Jetta GLI (which is the GTI's engine in a Jetta's body) -2 points

Stuttgart announced today the player had approached the club to confess his real name and age. Since then Stuttgart have contacted DFL and DFB, to get a new valid player's license for Mvumpa. New personal documents are already sent. http://www.kicker.de/vfb-teilt-mit-wamangituka-heisst- eigentlich-katompa-mvumpa-806862/artikel Seems l'Equipe were on the right track with their suspicion last year. Will be interesting to see the legal consequences that has for both player and club.1 point

Its really kinda scary man. You have Dem's like Joe Manchin literally voting down his own bill on voting rights that he cosponsored a couple years back on the grounds that the GOP doesnt like it. I focus on him because hes one of the main culprits in dieing on the hill over the filibuster and literally preventing the Dem's from getting shit done. He claims to believe in bi partisanship yet the evil fucking tortoise McConnel puiblically states he will do everything in his power to block everything the Dem's try and pass. Im ranting now but anyways the voting rights stuff is really, really scary. They're trying to eradicate democracy and not only that they are doing it in nearly plainsight. And your'e right not only is it in plainsight but not nearly enough Dem's are speaking out about it. The new networks such as ABC, MSNBC, CNN etc do call alot of the shit out but the biggest problem now is noone that supports or votes for these cretins see's any of these messages anymore and if they do facts are easily dismissable as "fake news" They watch Newsmax or Fox news and take everything said there as gospel as their fearless der leader speaks bullshit from Florida. Fox literally didnt cover the impeachment Im fucking flabergasted at that. And to their credit the Dem's did a fantastic job at the impeachment and I wish more of the GOP supporters actually paid any attention to that. You're bang on again though this GOP to borrow a phrase from Cuomo isnt that of old they are the Retrumplicans plain and simple. When Liz fucking Cheney isnt conservative enough and being forced out of their party what the actual fuck is going on. Like Obama says though its actually shocking how many of these cretins tuck their balls between their legs and go full Retrumplican to keep their jobs without a second thought. When Margarie Taylor fuckface still has a voice and isnt condemed for the verbal diarrhea thats constantly shitting out all over the public and the Country there just is no hope.1 point

I agree with him... and with you. American politics is an absolute shitshow. Republican states are passing restrictive voting laws, with the goal of preventing ethnic minorities and poor people generally from being able to vote as easily, Biden's administration is being held up by a democrat in the senate that thinks his party should move more to the right to meet an increasingly radical GOP in the middle. And a concerning amount of democrats are doing nothing while American democracy slowly eats itself alive. The GOP is so far away from what it was not that long ago, and it is scary how much of the party's establishment have moved more and more radical with their base.1 point

Same. For the amount of goals he scored at various PL clubs (150+?) I often think he gets underrated or overlooked as one of the best. And they were all at smaller clubs, too.1 point

It's a decent track to drive on the game but in real life it has very few redeeming features. No unique corners or sections, feels like there are few or no parts where the fans are close to the track to create an atmosphere, not much in the way of bumps, kerbs or uphill and downhill sections, the horrible patterns in the runoff area and the maze of alternative layouts is nauseating and the only realistic overtaking opportunities are your typical overpowered DRS done-before-the-braking-zone position changes that take no skill besides sitting in a faster car. I know people hate Sochi but at least you've got walls around that track for the sense of risk in some sections and the long turn 2/3 is at least unique. Paul Ricard really does just have nothing to offer. Magny-Cours is far from a personal favourite of mine but it's a much better option for a French GP.1 point

World Cup isn't really about quality anymore so it's not that important what they bring at the finals. It's just nice to see teams from around the World playing, like a festival. Syria and some other Asian teams will be a much better addition than Panama and other shity Concacaf teams1 point

Google is a gem. The name of this HSV player is Bakary Jatta and the public prosecutor is carrying out investigations against him.1 point
-
I can't remember the name of the player in question, seem to remember there were questions about the identity of a HSV player, though. This case isn't comparable as said player's identity wasn't proven to be false, by the way the person I'm talking about is or at least was asking for asylum at that time and had no documents at all, if I remember correctly. Here we're talking at least about document forgery and violation of the residence reporting law on top. And Mvumpa has admitted the allegations.1 point

I reckon about £60-70m+ and I really wouldn't blame them for it. Asking price perhaps even more if he has a decent Euros.1 point

Nice Audi and VW, like all other multi brand companies, share components. Engines and transmissions are shared across the entire group in many cases, across brands, and segments (sports, luxury, SUV, etc).1 point

A lot of Iranians also don’t give a shit if you say Farsi or Persian either so it’s not a big deal. All the ones that get pissed off about it that I’ve ever met are the biggest cunts I’ve ever met. Technically it’s not good English to say Farsi instead of Persian because it’s like saying “I speak Espanol” instead of “I speak Spanish” but it’s not like… something worth getting offended over. And shitloads of Iranians call it Farsi while speaking English. But back to the football, it’s all going to come down to that match against Iraq1 point

Honestly this is the most exciting thing to ever happen to Norwich City in my lifetime1 point

They said it did not come up when they did their due diligence on the sponsor. Which is pretty ridiculous, tbh. Your due diligence doesn't include looking at the sponsors social media pages? Not very good due diligence then, really. I don't think they even did a google search - because a Norwich fan did and they found this... which I think @Viva la FCB will enjoy, even if the Norwich fans don't1 point

So a few months ago I bought the wife and I tickets to the Van Gogh Experience that was here in Atlanta, and so we went today and I can't even begin to describe how incredible the whole immersion is. If you have never heard of it, here it is - https://vangoghexpo.com/ I almost had sensory overload, but the entire production was simply brilliant.1 point

Glad to be back for the time being. Today I accepted a new job as I've been working at the same place for about a year and a half. New role is going to focus solely on Cloud Security for a large global company so I'm beyond excited. Not only are the benefits going to be better, I still get to work from home and my salaried is basically doubled. June 22 is the first day so needless to say I'm on cloud 9 until then. Other than that I'm happy to state that not much else has changed. Life has certainly been good for me and my family.1 point
