This is crazy stuff.... A woman has won $5.2m (£4.1m) from an insurance firm after claiming she contracted a sexually transmitted infection in a car it had a policy on. The claimant, a woman from Missouri only being identified as MO, says she had sex with her partner in a car insured by the company Geico. According to court documents, she claims this resulted in her catching HPV (human papillomavirus) because the man failed to tell her he had the infection. HPV can lead to cervical cancer if left untreated and can also result in genital warts. In February last year MO told Geico, a firm based in Maryland, she planned to sue them for $1m because the man's policy with them should have covered for her "injuries and losses". Geico refused to pay out for the settlement, instead claiming her "injury" did not occur as a result of "normal use of the vehicle". An arbitrator later ruled she should be given $5.2m in damages. The woman then filed a motion to Jackson County Court seeking to claim her damages money. On Thursday a three-judge panel of the Missouri Court of Appeals upheld her claim after various appeals by Geico. But the firm says it is planning a federal lawsuit to argue the woman was not covered by her boyfriend's insurance policy. In a statement on Thursday Geico said the lawsuit would determine if "there is coverage in this matter".

This made me laugh... Ian Blackford called Boris Johnson a "lame duck" prime minister and said that 41 per cent of Tory MPs were backing him in calling for his resignation. The SNP leader said that when he had previously been met with a "wall of noise" in the House of Commons when he called for the PM to step down he initially thought Tory MPs were shouting him down. They said he would probably win it regardless.. It was obviously too much to ask that they do the right thing by the public. The margin of the victory is the telling point for his future prospects though... Sad that they don't have faith in anyone else to take over from him which shows what a poor position they are in really so now they are propping up someone who is clearly unfit for the role.. Totally incompetent leadership but he will try and spin it as a resounding victory and will be telling everyone that he will now get on delivering what the public want.. 3 dead and many injured as a train de-railed in the Alps... The train was heading northwards to Munich at around 12.15pm today (Friday) when several carriages rolled off the tracks in the Burgrain district of Loisachauen, near the resort town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Local press BR24 is reporting that a rescue operation has begun. A spokesperson for the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district office told local outlets a total of 60 people were being treated with injuries - of which sixteen had been deemed serious. Federal police said they had not yet established why the train had derailed, but BR24, a Bavarian news site, said that a large contingent of students may have been travelling because of the holidays. On that we can probably agree, He would use it to try and garner some sympathy about how the plebs don't understand how hard it is to run the country and that he is so misunderstood but on the rest we will have to agree to disagree.. I think he knows exactly how people will take it but his sense of entitlement means he feels he can just brush aside any criticism from any quarter regardless if that's the house of commons opposition/ media or indeed the public.. What's important to him is that he holds on to his power by any means possible.. be that his fingertips or the skin of his teeth.. The only time he does not enjoy it is when he is under intense scrutiny.. when he is put on the spot and has no answer or has to be truthful about something that's why he tries to avoid debates or interviews where it's just him and even when caught out he uses deflection or misleads to wriggle out of situations.. He then surrounds himself with toadies and boot lickers that trot out the same old shit and stick up for him knowing full well that if he falls they all fall, total self preservation from top to bottom.. Fallout and anger from decisions they make is just a storm to be ridden until a safe port is found and things calm down.. sadly for him the storm is still raging and even sadder for us it's still not enough to send him down along with his ship of fools.. Funny but things like that would never hurt someone like Johnson.. He has a rhinos skin that allows him to ride roughshod over others feelings.. If he had about 100 eggs tossed in his direction every time he was out in public then that probably would piss him off... You have to inconvenience a man like Johnson to get a reaction then his true nature is revealed..
