I didn't miss your point at all, I'm saying that the Yukon is different to Canada and Peru. You can't say with a straight face that Toronto is the same as living in the arctic. I've had opportunities like this pass by me. It happens, but opportunities aren't going to throw themselves at you. Life doesn't wait for you. Look at me! I took a punt on a new country, and a new life. It may not be perfect but I wouldn't have met many wonderful people, I wouldn't have married my wife, and I wouldn't be who I am right now. They see you'd move from Peru to the Yukon! There isn't any other way to cut that but impressive. That is worldly experience, that is a culture far removed from the rest of Canada and Peru.

What do you think 'work remote' means? It means working remotely from an occupations main office. You aren't going to live in the Yukon forever, don't think of it like that. So on the weekend I got blackout drunk. The moment I woke up Sunday morning every single embarrassing and stupid moment from being drunk flashed before me like a slideshow; it became clear how pathetic it all seemed. It shook me to my core. I feel absolutely revolted by alcohol now. I don’t think I’ll drink for a long time, I feel like it was affecting my memory and whatnot. I have to get away from it. Anyway I applied to a bartender position, I have an interview on Tuesday, fingers crossed. I told the mrs today she should call her old friend. The friend actually called her. Anyway one of the mrs old boyfriends is dead, died of alcoholism. When she told me I burst out in laughter, it’s as if the universe is really helping me out. He died the same week from the very same thing I chose to give up! Haha, it may sound like I’m being a mean but all these coincidences are just too funny. Besides I have no empathy for a pathetic drunk anyway.

No, I grew up in rural Queensland. I did live in Brisvegas for several years though. My hometwon is eleven hours west.

Not me personally, just from what I know other people have gone through. My childhood was fine and dandy really, just underprivileged as are most rural people.
