Honestly I'd be surprised. The Iraq war has taken a big toll on the psyche of the public and their willingness to endorse government engagement in conflicts. It's a pretty poisonous brew to have to sell to the masses, although the drive to make people stop talking about brexit would be significant... There's also a significant risk that the US administration post 2020 will take a different stance given how hard Obama worked to bring a different approach to Iran, and given most political leaders despise Trump I don't see alot of strategic benefit in jumping in. Trump has put forth an isolationist agenda and spoke against most traditional alliances. Why should any alleged ally legitimise his agenda?

Worth doing. There's a lot of added depth to enjoy. The ending will be better but you'll need to know all the additional characters for the last two books to make sense

Murdoch would have to be the person most responsible for fucking up the world in the post WW2 era... A big candidate at least.

Hard to see a way any meaningful military action could be sold to the american people who are quite passionately against another foreign conflict by last reports I'd read. Especially one that was instigated largely by America.

Congratulations mate! That's big news! Have you visited the little one yet or is there geography/distance between you and her?

It really was so weird that from the moment Trump was elected suddenly Iran was shit again and North Korea was great.

The challenge any country has is to ensure it functions in a manner consistent with its strategic intent. Military types can be unpredictable and there is always some possibility some in key operational roles may overstep their bounds.

It's nice to see some cooperation I agree. I'd really like to see Microsoft relinquish control of some of the old RARE IP to Nintendo or engage in some sort of collaborative partnership. A banjo Kazooie game would sell in much greater volumes on a switch than on an Xbox imo. On a switch it becomes a mandatory purchase.

I've never played Metroid or Castlevania tbh but would love to see more classic Nintendo franchises reignited. Speaking of which, I really enjoyed this one...

Definitely a surprise announcement that one

After a part tv subscription related hiatus I am back on watching the Americans at season 4.

To be fair both players leave Liverpool and you could wish them nothing but the best. Moreno I've found such a frustrating player but his attitude was never in question. Sturridge had a reputation for petulance but you have to say he's been absolutely fantastic in his time with us even through some rough patches and being down the pecking order. They're both I think still going to have some very good playing years ahead of them. I hope Sturridge in particular has big success and finds a club and a solid injury free few years. Heaps of people don't interact with Muslims. Some of them are happy to believe the best of them despite that. Others will be more wary. Salah fills that gap and makes a portion of those earlier people think twice. Other possibility is is a statistical anomaly.

Watched it. Pretty decent wrap up. But disappointing the movie didn't feature Al at his best but it was a fitting end to the series.

It's still great on the rewatch though. Especially S1 to 4

I have massive respect for Hendo. Against all odds, and with incredible boots to fill he's gone on to become a great captain and an exceptional servant of Liverpool and deserves to be long remembered for that. I do like Virgil as a future captain though. He appears to have the charisma on the pitch and be the loud voice, and the calm presence in a sea of angst. Without a doubt he'll wear the armband more often as the years go by

I'm really looking forward to watching the Deadwood movie length series conclusion that was released by HBO 3 days ago.... 12 years in the making!

It's a subset of the same thing. Fill a city full of imports and gradually it drives prices higher and keeps growth ticking along, but on that bottom level are the people actually benefiting from that or are they slowly slipping further towards poverty? Are the people of japan which refuses to run at such generous immigration levels really that much worse off? Or are they appreciating that the key goal is preservation or improvement of the quality of life of the people which can hold up well enough despite low growth? Alternatively is their world deteriorating but they stay stubborn in prioritising the value in preserving their culture and what makes their cities different from those elsewhere?
-
If that's the argument. I think the actual argument many would make though would be more questioning the ultimate benefits delivered to its people by an growing economy that is driven primarily by immigration. Bringing in foreign wealth that drives up prices and demand and ultimately pushes the preexisting residents further down the pecking order. I don't really have a side in this debate but I do sympathise with both sides. My old house, the first ever home I owned, where my son was born we sold to a young Chinese couple of first homebuyers, or so I thought... Was so excited to think our house would be with another young family however it's now sat empty for 18 months and appears to have been bought as a means of parking Chinese wealth in a safe space.... Australian property. Someone comes and stays there maybe one day per month doing just enough to avoid the investor tax on vacant homes. It's a specific situational example but one where our newspapers are all patting ourselves on the back about decades since the last recession and property prices at record highs, yet every first homebuyer is priced out of the market and lovely houses in beautiful streets sit empty.

I'm hungover but not from booze. Just fatigue.

He was still the best King candidate in the war of the five Kings.

Maybe in the instant he first banged her. But then it was matter of her honour, and conflicting duties.

I just want winds of winter released!

I'm expecting this as well. But we need to capitalise on where we are at right now imo. A top 4 team in Europe and a consistent Champions league threat - we should look to cement that by bringing in the talent that is most highly sought after and only available to those select few clubs.
-
I'd think one key player is still in the ballpark of a small summer. The squad up front is threadbare and I don't think Klopp can expect the 4 players we have for the front three to four with the same intensity every single year. Like City we need a diverse and strong bench player in every position.
-
I'd be really interested to know how many games he missed due to injury this season. I'd also question whether the year we just had, and back to back Champions league finals changes our aspirations of the players we want to bring in. Perhaps rather than looking for a backup there's instead a player available that would put serious pressure on Firmino for a starting place?
