So no pressure. He seems to play a Silva like role, but is built more like Graelish than Haaland, sure the hairstyle is Haalandesque. 8 goals and 4 assist so far, his last outing was 2 goals and an assist against Liverpool. I wouldn't be surprised if the fee is low but there are buy backs and sell on clauses, so we can act a bit like a development team. Quote

We got a crop of exceptional young talent coming through right now with Oscar Bobb, Rico Lewis and a few other's but we can't keep them all sadly Not the best camera angles but gives you some idea Quote

It's pretty shameless behaviour just to panda to the gender brigade that demand acceptance of their reality. Open the chequebook she is going to get paid, I do hope the premier League is a co defendant and get taken for a ride. Quote

He is worth 12m a year on his contract which he signed for 5 years and only worked 18. 6m is not enough and buying out the 12 month restraint of trade needs serious compensation as he takes insider knowledge to another club. 6m is piss water, I'd rather he serve his restraint of trade and non disclosure meaning any player that we go after, should man united go after the same player would amount to a breach of contract and entitled to damages Quote

What data are you expecting Newcastle United to have on players that nobody else does that'll influence how Dan Ashworth signs players for a top club in two summers time? All these clubs have access to the same data on players, it's how they interpret it that differs. Quote

He is scheduled to site with all the scouts today which essentially highlights targets and strategies for the summer. He is therefore taking insider knowledge to a new club. That is why restraints of trade exist, it is to stop this exact situation. Law of Contract provides that directors owe a fiduciary duty to act in the interest of the company, trade secrets, goodwill constitutes part of the the fiduciary duty. Quote

What if the scouts at Man Utd also identify the same players or have similar strategies? Are you deliberately this dense? Quote

Also recent history dictates that Man United don't really have a plan of action when it comes to scouting, it is just throw money around and hope it sticks, ergo why they want Ashworth who is more systematic on how it is utilised. So you think it's only Newcastle that target a specific pool and suddenly no other club may identify those particular targets? Delusional. Quote
Danny Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Only two clubs in the league have a completely independent data analysis system, Brighton and Brentford, unlike the rest of the league, nobody has access to that data other than what each club’s data analysis produces. Even then there will still be crossover, Newcastle are not fishing from a separate pool to Man Utd lol. Quote

OrangeKhrush Posted February 19 Posted February 19 The athletic is reporting that Ashworth has been placed in gardening leave until further notice but no contact between the clubs. the Newcastle board is unhappy at the tap up and the fact man united played it through a media tap out and private contact with Ashworth without talking to NUFC It is also reported that if NUFC is to waive his restraint of trade which runs until 2026 the club will only talk when the numbers hit 20+ million and 20m is not the baseline. We want his contract paid out as well as special damages to find a replacement which in Law of Contract is perfectly appropriate. They have a lot of money so pay it and be done. Quote
OrangeKhrush Posted February 20 Posted February 20 16 hours ago, The Palace Fan said: Brief and mildly sweet. Anyways the story overdrive has really kicked in when it comes to names mentioned to replace him. Edwards remains the bookies favourite due to his friendship with Eddie Howe, however other names that have come up include; Emanalo Campos Maurice Steidten Giles Mitchell It is probably best to look at unattached options which would narrow that list down to Mitchell and Edwards. Dr. Gonzo Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Edwards turned down returning to us and Real Madrid because he's trying to build his consultancy business and get money from as many clubs as possible, doubt he goes back to being a DoF. Quote
Dave Posted February 22 Posted February 22 It took Newcastle months to agree a deal with Brighton. It’s literally been a few days. These comments are hardly going to help his cause. 1 Quote

The tap up that is now hitting a snag, it doesn't look good for Man United and Dan Ashworth, I am perfectly fine with him sitting and working on his garden. Quote

I will say the news sources around Newcastle is terrible. If it's not from the usual reliable sources it's fake, there is no moderate accuracy Quote

I'm pretty sure in basically all football journalism, if it's not from the usual reliable sources it's fake. And once the reliable sources have their work stolen by Fabrizio Romano, then you know it's 99% confirmed until the official announcement comes out from clubs. Quote
