Salah is on form now and its the right time to be in form too. What is worrying is how our midfield is getting injured and I really hope Gini's injury isn't serious. Mane was at full tilt too and should have gotten a goal imo but it wasn't meant to be. One more down and onto the next one.

Echo what @LFCMike said. Not the best performance, but we got what matters. Very important for us to win today as the chasing pack have a few games now before we play again.

A lot's been made of our packed fixture list in December, and it is ridiculous, but it's important to note that we now don't have a league game for 12 days. 3 games between now and then, but all games we can rotate for, so hopefully a rest for anyone who needs it and time for the injured players to recover.

As something of an aside, I keep hearing that we have up to 10 games this month. That's wrong. It's not "up to 10," it's 10. There's a third place playoff in the CWC, so we'll have a game after the semis whatever happens. Not a massive issue in itself, just a little point about the quality and standard of football reporting (and journalism in general?) in this country.

It is funny to think back on the days when Liverpool would start a game flying, take an apparently comfortable lead, and then fall to pieces the moment one little thing went wrong.

Now, they have a reputation for pulling wins out their arses. Dont think anyone could have imagined that a few years ago.
