Need wins now, there has to come a point where Arteta has to start gettting results now. Not totally blaming him as most of his squad are bums but I would like to see more ruthlessness.

Intriguing game, Burnley had two excellent results in the league the last couple of weeks then bombed out of the FA Cup at home to Norwich.

Don't think Arteta can really be judged until he's had the summer and got rid of some of the clowns in that Arsenal squad, but I do think he's going about things the right way at the minute. Can probably see this one being a draw.

Look where Ben Foster ends up for our first goal yesterday. What a shite keeper, he must have really short arms and we should definitely spend two pages of the thread arguing about whether this makes him a liab... hang on two seconds, I've just noticed there's a memo for me in the post that's just arrived late. Oh I see, this is only a point of discussion for certain goalkeepers and/or if it fits certain agendas. As you were.

Arsenal with as good record in this match. Surely they will bank three points.

Really? I don't think it's a sure thing.

Burnley could sneak a win.

Why have I posted this in this thread? 😂

A few changes, not sure why he has dropped Pepe, not entirely sold on the Xhaka and Guendouzi midfield duo as well. Going to be another tough one I reckon.

Arsenal should be one up by now.

Even worse from Aubameyang, fucking hell. Bright start from us at least.

Nice strike by Jay Rodriguez. Leno makes a good save too.

Looked like pretty poor keeping from what I seen. A ball lofted into his six yard box and he's glued to his line initially. Generally the sort of goalkeeping you see from those in sides who are lower down the table. But then people know Foster's level and don't try to claim him to be something he isn't

Don't know why Arteta keeps persisting with Ozil and Lacazette, they will only ever let him down especially away from home. Bright start but typically under Arteta we faded towards the end of the half.

The only people who claim Pickford to be something he isn't are the people who seem to decide that because he isn't world class he has to be completely hopeless xD.

Why is there a discussion about two bummy keepers who don't play for either team going on right now? xDxD

He's not completely hopeless. He's not a good keeper either though

Think your midfield passing is a bit lackluster and they give the ball away way too easily when under pressure.

Indeed it is so unathletic as well. A lot is made of our defence but our midfield has been a massive issue for a while. Losing Ramsey for free last summer was catastrophic for the club more than most ever realised.

I know Burnley don’t play the best football but considering their costs and that they can play a little bit between the direct play I don’t mind watching them play

Ozil dragged finally, just get that massive bum Lacazette off and we might be going somewhere.

I think Foster’s bang average tbh. Dunno if he’s also got t-rex arms too though.

It’s easier to laugh at Pickford though because he seems like a big of an egotistical twat (the whole “I won’t blunder like Alisson” thing with his blunder right after, constantly getting wound up by Newcastle fans). Granted I think some of the shit, like the Newcastle fans chanting about his girlfriend was a bit too much for a football player to deal with - I think S.O.’s should be off limits unless they’re Posh Spice, then it’s fine

Meanwhile it’s harder for me to have a pop at Watford, despite being ex-Man Utd. I like that he gets shirts from players that have just scored on him, gets them to sign the shirt, and auctions off the shirts and gives the money to youth charities in Watford. I also like the way he carries himself in interviews & on social media - he doesn’t seem like a man who takes himself too seriously and can have a laugh at himself.

And lastly, I’m a Liverpool fan and Newcastle fans have given us that amazing song about his little arms so I’m obviously going to be more likely to have a laugh at his expense.

Much of this Arsenal side look like they don't have the fitness for 90 minutes at Premier League intensity. Basic stuff.

I can’t believe that didn’t cross the line. Arsenal pretty fucking fortunate there.

I think matches like this are bad for Arsenal fans. But good for Arteta because this match sort of perfectly demonstrates where Arsenal need to improve.

Don't know how Rodriguez didn’t score though.

After Arteta’s first or second match under Arteta he basically admitted as much - that they can’t play the way Arteta wants them to play for 90 minutes without improving their fitness.

Which I think is a bit damning of Unai Emery’s coaching tbh.
