As for the Barca/Real corrupt thing - both as bad as each other. Simply my point. I am absolutely happy for Zidane though, despite him trying to break Marco's chest, I can't help but respect the guy. Hugh Jass
Congratulations to Real Madrid. I hate them but I can't deny that they deserve this title success or that they have been the best team this season. The the strength in depth of their squad is just amazing. Of course given the money that they've spent and the squad that they've had at their disposal, plus the fact that they enjoy a lot of unfair advantages over 18 out of the other 19 teams in the league, it's disgraceful that they went 5 years without winning the title in the first place . Euro for euro and cent for cent, Alavés have definitely had the most impressive league season. After getting promoted and with a squad that cost about 5.5 million euros to put together, they comfortably finished in the top half of the table (9th) and have a Copa Del Rey final to look forward to. nfb_10
Congratulations to Zinedine Zidane, I must say. A Champions League and a La Liga title in just over a year of being a coach is phenomenal.
SirBalon
Happy with the result today for Luis Enrique. He deserved this send off with a home win for everything he's given FC Barcelona as a player, youth coach and head coach of the first team. Another coach that gave the club a memorable treble which isn't easy and why only select clubs have managed it. It's the rise of the club after the calming of the storm in Spain as a whole and one man called Johan Cruyff that turned history in Spanish football. Everything Barça have achieved since then with two trebles and everything else dominating Spanish football since then is something that just giving the Cruyff name to a stadium and a main road in the city isn't enough. But what can you do anyway! Nothing would ever be enough. Barça may not have won La Liga this season but in their worst season for years they still managed to take it to the final day... But there are important lessons to be learned from this season and the way recruitment was executed last summer... Hindsight is something that can now be used to learn these lessons because the end of the season is upon us. I'm sure Barça will be back stronger than ever next season as they were the last time Real won La Liga some years back or when Atleti won it three years ago. VISCA BARÇA!!! 6666
I know cheating is accepted and encouraged at Barcelona but fucking hell, just saw the "fouls" that lead to the penalties. Weren't even touched. The officials seriously must either be blind or corrupt.

Hugh Jass
BTW not a great day for Bilbao. Of course there's no shame in them losing away to Atlético in the final ever game at the Vicente Calderón. It was very fitting that the boyhood Atleti fan Torres scored twice in an emotional occasion. But that defeat coupled with Real Sociedad scoring a last gasp equaliser away to Celta, has seen them lose that final Europa League qualification place to their arch rivals during the last few seconds of the season. noelcwt
Lol at some reaction, still taking digs at Real Madrid and their fans. Malaga make it difficult for us, not as easy as some would have suggested with the EUR 1 million bonus At long last a league title. As long as Perez let Zidane continue to do what he does best and not interfere, I have high hopes on him. But you never know with the election coming Kroos has to be the most consistent and our best player for this season. Hope he stays for a long time to come. Honking and vuvuzelas are not usually enjoyed by neutrals in first world countries. As I am not feeling it, I cannot wish anything else for them other than please STFU. Although, now than I am thinking it, maybe they can also be socialist followers of their now re-elected leader Pedro Sánchez.
Dickie
What a year it's been for the club and fans, Congratulations on a well deserved title and the fact that there's more opportunities for silverware this season. Zidane has been a blessing for Real Madrid. It's so funny because we all thought (myself included) he'd be sacked at the end of the season after he stepped in for Benitez but wow he's done an impressive thing with the squad and is pulling the best out of the players. Wasn't a cake walk for them in anyway shape or form with Barcelona on their ass literally the whole season.
The Artful Dodger
Those Barca pens have made the bad tits from England on here look like pure melts. Well done Real Madrid, hope messi moves on he's better than Barca.

Welcome to the new forums Azeem. But credits to Real Madrid and Zidane especially for the way they fought despite not having anything good about their play style. The thing that won them the liga is the way they fought (lack of league title for sooooo long makes you fight tooth and nail I guess).

Many wanted Real Madrid to bottle it and the support for Barca is overwhelming. We didn't play very nice football and many times we played like a mid table team. I guess it is really down to who wants it more, in this case us. Credits got to be given to Zidane though, Ronaldo looks clueless and lost before Zidane started benching him. Kroos is absolutely the most consistent player for us and he should get way more credits than the likes of Ramos, Marcelo or Ronaldo.

Put them in the order you want mate but out of the first team your best players have been Carvajal Modrić Marcelo Kroos And... Ramos (without his injury-time goals you wouldn't have even finished 3rd this season) And... Isco (second half of the season has been tremendous) For me your overall player of the season has been Dani Carvajal though.
Carnivore Chris
I didn't see the game as I was fishing for 2 days and wasn't able to pick it up on the phone as I'd have hoped to. The last goal by Messi was brilliant though. I'm surprised there isn't a single comment in here about it to be honest and it shows just how great the man is when he can beat about 5 players before scoring with his weak foot and nobody says anything. Real winning was predictable as there was noway they were going to lose to Malaga in a game which would win them the league, they are too good for that. Fair play to them, they have been the most consistent side over the season and have deserved this league title. I also hope this means a big backlash from this Barcelona team, as so often happens these days after a disappointing season. Also Ronaldo deserves credit for the past 3/4 weeks or so. He was having an under par season for his high standards, but in the last month or so, he has come alive with the goals and scored important ones at a decisive time of the season. nfb_10
Yes, they have been the more consistent team this season. They haven't dropped downright silly, idiotic points to the least expected teams, and they were far more hungry than Barcelona were ( I suppose not winning the league in five years played it's role there ). They do deserve their second league title in nine years. We have work to do this summer and hopefully we could bounce back as well as we have done when we lost the title in 2012 and 2014. Sometimes a step back is necessary in order to keep moving forward.

Modrić as always has been very good and this season has been Marcelo's best. But nobody's been better than Carvajal for me. He has been the total equilibrium in a side that was absolutely mental for most of the season (accepting all those final minute goals to sort games out). It's regularity or consistency if you like what's given Real the title and even then it's gone to the final day of the season by three points. The general consensus is that the second string team in the moments where they were needed done a great job and that Zidane was very astute in when to rotate. The only mistakes Zidane made all season was with Bale who has never merited a slot in the side this season... Infact the game against Barça at the Santiago Bernabéu is testimony to this... Wasn't doing anything and all of a sudden got injured (that latter part obviously not his fault but the former has been most of his year bar a few games). At least that's the way I saw it without mentioning any controversy.
