El Profesor
6 hours ago, Michael said: Bayern are 1/5 with most bookmakers, so they are unsurprisingly heavy favourites. Bayern look like a flawless side. If I had to pick a weak link, then it would probably be Boateng in defence. However, as I have mentioned previously, the quick defenders around him like Davies, Alaba and Kimmich, enable Boateng to play to his strengths. Lyon as you have mentioned are strong physical side, which Man City found out to their detriment. Lyon will try to keep a clean sheet for as long as possible against Bayern and hope that they score from a set piece or a successful counter attack. However, given the firepower that Bayern posses, it looks unlikely that Lyon will hold out. Bayern should win this game relatively comfortably the way I see it and that's with all due respect to Lyon. Lyon have done great this season and they deserve to be in the semi-finals, but they are coming up against a Bayern team that are a class above them in my opinion. All I'm hoping from this match is a good performance from Bruno Guimarães. Bruno, like Renan Lodi, was developed at my local team, Athletico Paranaense. I love the kid, he's a really talented young midfielder.
Michael
Bayern have literally thrashed Barcelona, Chelsea, Tottenham and Red Star Belgrade this season when they have met and in all honesty I don't think that this game will be any different. I don't think it will be as bigger a win as the win over Barcelona, but Bayern should still score plenty of goals against the well organised French team. The sooner Bayern score, the more likely their victory is likely to be larger in my opinion. Bayern Munich are starting with the usual suspects, it should be another entertaining encounter. Michael
Depay with an early chance for Lyon, with Lyon capitalising on a poor pass by Thiago and the Bayern high line.

Michael
Goretzka with an effort on goal, but he completely miskicked his shot after a lovely one two with Lewandowski.
El Profesor
That Lyon midfield is so good. All three players have the passing ability to find Depay and Ekambi on the run.

Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted August 19, 2020 Subscriber Share Posted August 19, 2020 Ekambi should be scoring there. What a try. And then Gnabry shows him how its done.
Michael
Bayern score through Gnabry!! What a peach of a run and a lovely rocket of a strike! That was a superb individual goal by Gnabry!

Michael
Bayern score a 2nd goal through Gnabry again! Gnabry is on fire tonight, he started that move before tapping home to score. Gnabry will be looking for his hattrick now.
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted August 19, 2020 Subscriber Share Posted August 19, 2020 Lyon must be wondering what they have to do now. Bayern are running riot and there will certainly be more goals the way this is going.

Michael
Gnabry with a shot that goes narrowly wide. He could have had his hattrick there with a bit more luck.

Michael
Lewandowski has been in the wars so far in this game, with heavy challenges being committed on him. Bayern will desperately want him fit for the final.
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted August 19, 2020 Subscriber Share Posted August 19, 2020 If Lyon can start the next half with a goal it could be possible they can try and find their way back here but I think Bayern will be too much for them as the game goes on. El Profesor
That match reminds me of a quote from Mike Tyson: "Everyone has a plan untill they get punched in the mouth." Lyon was doing really well, their game plan was working until Bayern punched them in the mouth. Not sure what Rudi Garcia can do now.
MUFC
A more clinical side would have knocked Bayern out in the first 20 minutes. Lyons final ball was shite.

El Profesor
Well, Thiago Mendes is a natural defensive midfielder and a better option than Bruno Guimarães in that position. This is a good sub from Garcia.
