carefreeluke 722 Posted December 12, 2020 Share Posted December 12, 2020 It’s not Kovacic’s job to come short for the ball as regularly as he has been doing a lot of the game, as soon as he pushed up a bit later in that half, we looked better but it’s happened too late. We have been second best to everything and allowed Everton to boss the play and again lacking creativity up front... Still a lot of naivety in the team, particularly on how we start games. Lethargic play, slow transition, sloppy passes, 2nd to every ball and didn't match Everton's intensity until after they scored. From there, we played right into their hands. Frustrating too as this is a carbon copy of last season's performance. Having no wingers destroyed us.
