I used to think Mpache was a fucking Blubbering sunflowers with a few screws loose, a weird boner for random countries, players and leagues and was stubborn as a mule, even when obviously wrong. |

Now he doesn't post at all anymore I think he's a much better bloke.

i fucking knew it, i fucking knew when i saw that you had posted in this thread just now it would be about mpsche

A lot of food stuff and food phobias that I've gotten over.

I also used to be extremely anti-religion (being a high-school neckbeard who discovered Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens) and am now pretty chill about it. I'm aesthetically pretty into religious stuff - music, art, literature, etc. - and I only have minor personal annoyances and gripes about some common religious beliefs/traditions.

Anyone realized the lyrics to a song were diffrrent to what they actually are? Like years down the line.

I'm lost what ye mean? I know Elton John changed the lyrics for the Candle in the Wind and changed the line to Goodbye English Rose but other than that...give us the lyrics of an old song and the song nowadays where the lyrics have changed.

Oh...any pics? :P

I think he means where you've misheard lyrics for years and then realised they're not actually what you've been mishearing.

Also, it's odd dropping 'any pics' in as a reference randomly xD. It needs context :D

Ok, blame @Tommy  xD

If that is what he means then I get the gist.

I am open to all ideas when it comes to religion or lack thereof. But Richard Dawkins is one of the biggest pricks alive. Made a career out of dogshit arguments and is oblivious to the irony behind his mantra of "God doesn't exist, so you don't have to worry" Blind to the fact that the idea of a God brings people comfort not anxiety, and the fast that he hates catholic doctrine being pushed and preached... as he pushed his books and slogans and preached his own brand of shite.

He's on my list of "people who are such cunts I'd genuinely strangle them to death in cold blood" And it's a short list.

Yeah a lot of the way he argues is very appealing to angsty atheist teenagers but it's embarrassing in hindsight.

People want meaning and reassurance that a godless life isn't pointless, and watching someone "owning" people with simple arguments is more accessible and addictive than actually reading a work of philosophy or even just watching a proper lecture.

Can confirm. Was in my mid/late 20's back then but still felt like an angsty atheist teenager inside.
