We saw from Hamilton in Monza how a bad getaway in the Sprint can fuck your whole weekend. I'm not a fan of the inconsistent format coming into play, especially this far into the title race. Doubles the chance of one of the contenders getting turned around by another driver with less to lose at this part of the campaign. At least if there's rain or mixed conditions there should be a chance that it's a bit more eventful than the other two sprints. You don't often see stuff like this referred to the stewards without resulting in a penalty. Harsh on him but an illegal car usually results in a full disqualification from that session which would see him start the sprint from the back or the pitlane. Then whatever he can salvage from the sprint race for his grid position, he takes a 5 place grid penalty for the race proper on Sunday. Nightmare weekend ahead and what a screw up by Mercedes if the car is found to be illegal. Everything seems to be not quite going Hamilton's way right now which is probably prime time for him to win from 14th on the grid after Verstappen has complications of some sort in the race.
