We should genuinely be paying closer to £0 than £35m. An absolutely absurd outlay on our part if true.

Matt Law is stating its actually a free transfer and then £10 million after he's played 20 games....

@Storts any confirmation?

This version would make more sense for a normal club but the fact I can see £35m and find it potentially believable is all you need to know about Everton.

None from our end yet on fee but I think it’s probably closer to Matt Laws but he’s just missed some clauses. Imagine we are helping Everton out with FFP with the initial fee and reducing sell on to MK Dons but I think there will be multiple clauses attached. I reckon will be closer to 15-20 million all in all. Either way he needs a fresh challenge but I’m sad. Dele gave me some great memories, was some player for a few yesrs

Just found the first trickles from the reliable guys on Everton Twitter suggesting £10m is the correct one. Paul Joyce also reporting fee dependent on appearances.

I think that's a decent deal for us. We've not been a club where players like Dele Alli have come and rejuvenated their careers since Moyes left to be honest. Schneiderlin, Iwobi, Delph off the top of my head have been dreadful coming from top six clubs. It's on the manager to see if he can get him firing again.

The payment plan looks like to much corroborated assistance.  Spurs will get 10m after 20 games and then a bunch of step payment.   What is the point of FFP if they are not being punished.    It sounds harsh but that was the idea behind P&S rules,  to prevent wreckless spending and wealthy owners writing off the mistakes.    Should there not be a form of administration to force sell players to bring P&S into line and then they can operate again.

This is what I thought would be. Good deal all round

Sounds like free transfer "on the day", £10m when not if he meets the first clause, plus more probably easy ones. Seen a report as well saying it could eventually go as high as £40m. I'm assuming we have to win the treble for that much of it to kick in. xD

Yeah that’s exactly what I thought/expected. Low initial outlay to help you out with FFP restrictions and clear the wage bill for us. But then lots added on. My guess is it probably ends up between 20-30 million - which is win win for both of us and means he’s been relatively successful

Good deal for all parties involved.

Everton get a decent player in despite their finances being a bit fucked. He'll probably trigger that first clause, which gives Spurs some fairly quick cash injection for next summer. And chances are he'll play a lot for them and they'll get more money out of it.

And if they don't, it means the players haven't done well. Because out of their current squad, on paper, he should be getting a lot of opportunities.

I think Deli Alli's incredible on his day, he's just not had too many "on his days" lately. A change of scenery is probably needed and at Everton I think he'll be an important player that gets lots of chances to show if he's still got it or not.

I think Everton need a bit more of a defensive minded midfielder and a reliable CB they can count on to marshall their defense... but I think this is a decent signing.

Really weird what’s happened to him, he was genuinely the best young midfielder in the world. He’s not suffered any injuries, physically must still have it. Just needs to unlock the motivation again. Easier said than done.
