Administrator Stan Posted April 12, 2022 Administrator Posted April 12, 2022 Kick-off 20.00 (BST) First Leg - Benfica 1-3 Liverpool VS
LFCMike Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Probably a few changes for us here after Sunday. Konate probably comes in. Probably a couple of changes in midfield and a couple in the front three. I don't think he will change either full back from the start. The hope will probably be to have completely killed the tie by half time before resting them I think.
Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted April 13, 2022 Subscriber Posted April 13, 2022 Liverpool's to lose. As much as Klopp will say the focus is on this match and this match alone, he will have one eye on the tie with City and that'll play a part here.
Rick Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 We have a fantastic chance to get to the final after last night. Hopefully we kill this one off before the second half like Mike said. I can’t be on with another nerve wracking game after Sunday.
LFCMike Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Well that's more changes than I expected but understandable
Dr. Gonzo Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Wow that's a lot more changes than I would have thought.
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted April 13, 2022 Subscriber Posted April 13, 2022 Got to say that's not bad honestly. I think we'll win here and it gives key players a rest with options off the bench if necessary.
Administrator Stan Posted April 13, 2022 Author Administrator Posted April 13, 2022 Diaz to run the show.
Administrator Stan Posted April 13, 2022 Author Administrator Posted April 13, 2022 Otamendi wearing gloves in April is an immediately sackable offence. Meanwhile Konate just scored to put Liverpool ahead!
LFCMike Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Was just about to say Konate has started really well, some of the balls he's pinged about so far have been brilliant. Good header that as well.
Administrator Stan Posted April 13, 2022 Author Administrator Posted April 13, 2022 Fortunate how that ended up for Benfica. Think it comes off the Liverpool player so may not be offside?

Administrator Stan Posted April 13, 2022 Author Administrator Posted April 13, 2022 Oh he was onside anyway
Administrator Stan Posted April 13, 2022 Author Administrator Posted April 13, 2022 What a tackle. How's he got his toe to that?!
LFCMike Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Done alright. Probably could have had one or two more. Understandably slowed it down a bit once they got one back. Firmino should do better with the ball to Diaz. Just don't do anything stupid first 15 minutes of the second half and we should get through without any scares.
Dr. Gonzo Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Lol that was bizarre but I'll take it, get in Bobby
Administrator Stan Posted April 13, 2022 Author Administrator Posted April 13, 2022 What a terrible goal to concede Keeper messes up, clearance is bad, Jota shanks his shot and no one tracks Firmino. Nonetheless, Liverpool lead! Been quite easy for Liverpool. Haven't really had to get out of 2nd gear so to speak.
Dr. Gonzo Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Think it's weird we're putting Salah on - he's been in desperate need of a real rest since AFCON imo, think we could have sat him out for the full 90. But I guess a part of it is Jota and Henderson are being rested a bit before the FA cup semi against Citeh

Yeah, I think it's understandable why Jota's been pulled now that it looks like we've guaranteed our spot against Villareal. That collision their striker had with the ad boards looked pretty painful

I agree to a point but this isn't going to be very intense for the final half an hour. Could argue Salah probably needs a goal more than anything. Hopefully a fairly light workout for him and a goal will kickstart him again.
