Pretty predictable really... As soon as he declared it was his ambition to play for them and they came in it was always game over for us.. That's one of our first choice players off the list... It's not like we can drop back to Dembele as our second choice either because it seems Barca have reached an accord with him as well taking a big hit to his wages to stay..

It's done now and we can all get on with our lives.

£55m is not as high as his worth but probably as close as we could get for a guy that had 2 years left on his contract and had no intention of signing a new one.

Deco even waivered his agent fee to get this over the line.

After the World Cup, Barcelona will have an £80m player on their books, easy.

I hate that he has gone there as they are an absolute nightmare to deal with but I wish him well. He gave his all for us whilst here and was massive in keeping us up last season. We've made three time what we paid for him and he goes to fulfill a dream.

Good luck to him.

  • The title was changed to Raphinha Signs for Barcelona

Think he's perfect in our set up under Tuchel's system.

It's not that he wouldn't fit necessarily that was the concern, but the amount of talent in attack, meaning he may end up being a wasted player like we have seen at the club alot in recent years.

Ferrán, Fati, Dembélé, Depay, Auba, Lewa..that's enough attacking talent for 2 clubs.

But going off pre season Raphinha has been one of the main standouts so as it stands I could see Xavi using him as a starter, alongside Fati and Lewandowski(but then you're dropping 2 performing players in Aubameyang and Dembélé). His goal last night was class.

I feel for Depay however as he's the one who will likely be forced out and he's a quality player. But there won't be any room now for him unfortunately.

The defence should always have been the priority since the start of the window before anything. The defence is horrible, minus Araújo, although the rest of the team looks strong, especially midfield.

There was a period last season before the international break(where the team then lost momentum) where we saw some of the best football Barcelona have played in years during that period. Is it really necessary to be spending so much? Half of the money spent could be saved.

Saying that, they aren't bad signings in themselves obviously, it's just how these signings have been made and the risks involved going into the future. The signings themselves are obviously ones which could make Barcelona a competitive side again.

Its only friendlies but he is absolutely making a complete mockery of the price already in the couple games he's featured.

Pig sick. He's going to be worth so much after the World Cup. Genuinely will miss him.

Raphinha is an excellent player, I am sure that he will flourish at Barcelona. I am looking forward to seeing Raphinha play at this upcoming World Cup, he could become one of the standout players of the tournament.
