Prior to the 92 World Cup final Ian Botham made remarks that Pakistan is a place where you can send your mother-in-law !

In the final he got out early without getting in double figures and one of the fielders allegedly said

" Who's next you're mother-in-law ?"

We need such sledging in cricket not the racist one like Australians or the present say friendliness !

I support India.

Not to say I don't follow England team though.

Nice mate, I just assumed Eng because you also support the footy team. I’d rather India too!

Yeah, often people get uptight about it, but ultimately it's not their choice :what:.

England won the ODI World Cup on a boundaries rule that most didn't knew existed.

Today they'll win on Duck's worth for Lewis which no one really knows how it works.

England have bowled well here. Seems like Pakistan went too slow at the start.

Same mistake as against India at MCG, just go for one 4 and take doubles the score will be 160+ which is defendable here. Threw their wickets.

And MCG's boundaries are too big for T20s. They should adjust it according to the format.

Is that your excuse if you lose?

Because the boundaries are same for both sides...

Not excuse, saying this generally. Some great shots in this tournament that haven't even went for 4. Considering T20s they are too big imo.

Would've been a great contest between probably the best bowling and batting attack of the tournament if we had put up 160.

I'd say you'll are doing well even if the batting was a bit short. Some of the bowling has been phenomenal.

Shaheen did his job. Rest him until he's fully fit now.

Great fight by our bowling. England are the deserved champions ! best white ball team for some time now.

We need a reset in our batting from the 'disassociation' set in by the mediocre and overly long careers of Afridi, Malik, Hafeez etc. Modern cricket is batting oriented ( or has been made ) we have that natural X factor in bowling just need reliable batting to support them.

Brilliant Stokesy, pure brilliant. He's this generations Flintoff, but with miles more end product and not all about the crack.

The lad is ice cold in pressure situations, he held that together well when we were under the cosh there.

If anyone says they weren't nervous, it's got to be a lie. We were right under the cosh there and that was far crom comfortable, despite the low score.

Feel for Pakistan, they gave it their all with the ball and losing Afridi was critical because the boundaries had completely dried up. This feels like the making of them a bit and they will be a force for the 50 over World Cup in India.

Awesome to win on Aussie turf. A weird blip v Ireland purely because of the weather but we've won the big games when they counted, especially New Zealand and India. Just a shame we never got to play the hosts and knock them out ourselves but they'll keep.

Undisputed. Go on Jos and the boys.
