Dr. Gonzo Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 How many minutes has Egypt played in this tournament?
Administrator Stan Posted February 6, 2022 Administrator Posted February 6, 2022 Senegal win on penalties. Ironically, Mane scores the winning penalty.
Guest Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 Final going to penalties. Couldn't have gone much worse for you @Dr. Gonzo
Cicero Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 Just needs the Club World Cup and Mendy will have been a champion of Europe, Africa, and the World in the space of a year.
Administrator Stan Posted February 6, 2022 Administrator Posted February 6, 2022 Salah and Mane back for Thursday? @Dr. Gonzo @LFCMike
Guest Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 Anyone who says afcon doesnt matter needs to see the reaction of the players.
Moderator Tommy Posted February 6, 2022 Moderator Posted February 6, 2022 It's great to see a country winning that has never won that competition before.
Lucas Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 Honestly am dumbstruck for teams that put their best penalty taker 5th in the pecking order. Fuck me Egypt. Salah is your talisman, you can't have a penalty shootout and end up with him not actually taking a pen. Where is the sense of that?? Pleased for Mane anyway. He seems a genuine decent bloke from what I've read and what he tries to give back to the people of his country.

It's because the biggest cunts on the team want the best chance of scoring 'the winning penalty' whereas they should be taking the first or second.

Did it with Real if I remember correctly.

Moderator Tommy Posted February 6, 2022 Moderator Posted February 6, 2022 Egypt's goalkeeper won Man of the Match, and it looks like they presented him with the trophy and took a picture of him as he was still upset about the loss.
LFCMike Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 Some balls from Mane after his miss earlier in the game. What a penalty as well.

I guess they think why change what was a winning formula
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted February 7, 2022 Subscriber Posted February 7, 2022 Congrats to Senegal, I think its nice to see a country that hasn't won it before win it. It's also nice to see that both our attacking players haven't succumbed to any injuries and one of them even won the tournament and imo the guy who needed a confidence boost got it by winning it all. Now, lets hope he comes back and continues the trend.

Assuming Mane will have some sort of celebration in Senegal maybe so will arrive back later than Salah. And as you mentioned earlier, the amount of minutes Salah has played, I won't be surprised if he's not even in the squad but back for the game on Sunday.
