The results against Everton and Luton, at a time in the season when they're not desperate for points, gives off real 2016/17 vibes and is a cause for concern. It's not going to be easy. Eze out for approximately three weeks Doucoure could miss the rest of the season, Mateta is still in the 25 man squad etc but Roy tends to get 100% out of these players in these type of situations. You're definitely fine. If any team was to slip into the scrap with the newly promoted teams, the Premier League (and Bournemouth's little purple patch) have ensured that it will be Everton. Just missed securing top spot by 1 goal (& in the Conference, 2 less games) But just need to avoid defeat in final away game to lowest ranked team in the group. Bournemouth (a) not easy. Just as capable as Forest (a) were only a few weeks ago. But then Man City & Arsenal at Villa Park Wednesday & Saturday. Where all participants will have endured a similar schedule. But still bank on a false narrative if Villa get any W. Good timing to have Moreno & J Ramsey both fit (again) I would be surprised if Villa do not seem highly motivated to win at Bournemouth & so giving the next 2 as much of a free hit feel as they can be, with Spurs, Man United, Newcastle & Brighton all lingering around just 1 or 2 results from 4th. Toney, Toney, Toney. Ivan Toney. Long throw-in, Ivan Toney. Never mind we are playing without Henry, Hickey, Ajer, Collins, Jensen, Damsgaard, Dasilva, Schade. Nevermind that Lewis-Potter is on the bench finally returning from injury and so can't start. If we're not playing as well as we could, it's Ivan Toney, if we're not creating as much as before, it's Ivan Toney. Apparently playing with possession rather than going long is alien to us, as if we haven't played 4-3-3 against every non-top 6 side we've played this season. Currently playing with a defensive midfielder at left back and an attacking midfielder at right back, a centre mid making his second professional start playing alongside 2 defensive minded midfielders. But still, the issue is Ivan Toney. I'd love to get a job as a commentator, apparently you don't need to pay any attention to the teams you're commentating on and can do it week in, week out. In the other Premier League match being played, Brentford are still drawing 0-0 at home against Luton. Brentford have had most of the play, but they are yet to find a break-through. I have to say that I have been quite impressed with Yarmolyuk, considering the circumstances. The 19 year old has looked industrious, he links the play up well and he is not afraid to be adventurous. He had a shot go narrowly wide in that first half and in general looks quite comfortable at this level of Premier League football. As you alluded to, it's only his 2nd start in the Premier League for Brentford, but he's already played in several more Prem matches, coming on as a sub. I think that he's got a very bright future, by the looks of things. As for this game, I think Frank should take off Onyeka and bring on Jorgensen, to give Brentford more impetus in the engine room.
