It's nice to know all the rule abiding clubs will be behind us to put these persistent cheats behind everybody else on points where they belong.

Quite intrigued to see what happens with Nketiah. Judging by Glasner's quotes you'd expect him to start but we've got no idea where he'd play or if we'd change our system to accommodate him.

Not often I think that we deserve to get beaten but when Cooper persists with a starting line up like that it's hard not to.

Midfield 3 of Winks, Skipp and Ndidi, with the latter as a 10 is embarrassing.

And keeping Fatawu, El Khannous, Buanonotte, Pereira on the bench - mixture of clear quality and experience - is equally as embarrassing.

He won't have long left if he persists with this shit.

Same old shit after the game as well where Cooper will say we didn't show enough. Well it's fucking hard to when you don't play players that could win you games or help score goals.

A bit concerning how many injuries & knocks are mounting up. Villa simply can not cope with a long injury list. But Konsa at least is in the squad. Cash out for a while. Uncertainty over Bailey. Still no Buendia, Mings or Kamara as yet. But it was actually Lamare Bogarde who covered Cash being out last game. Not Nedeljkovic, who has had a mixed start to his full Serbia international career.

Also, can not take anything for granted with Everton. Yes, the odds are in favour of Villa piling even more pressure on them. But.. if they turn up for a full match, they are capable of doing things.

Come on Palace, Brighton 🙄.

Dyche starting Keane again over O'Brien is a bit annoying. Think our defence gets run ragged again here to be honest.

Hopefully Branthwaite is back in contention for the Leicester and Palace games.

Okay, so we weren't as bad as expected, but we're simply not going to stay up with such a defensively-minded manager.

Starting line-up had little creativity, and arguably our 2 goals came from mistakes from Palace (although Ndidi did well winning the ball high and playing in Vardy).

Then the in-game management in 2nd half was diabolical. When you're backs are against the wall, you want a mix of defensive solidity and an outlet to break on, hold up the ball or nullify pressure.

What Cooper did was bring on Choudhury for Ndidi (replacing an 'attacking' midfielder with a defensive one). Took off Ayew for Coady. It just brings on pressure when you end up having too many defenders on the pitch so when you clear the ball, it just comes straight back.

The equaliser was just purely so inevitable it actually hurts that we all knew it was coming, let alone that we didn't win the game from being 2-0 up.

Cooper won't be good enough for us. We'll fail because of him and his decisions.

We've barely touched the ball in the first 10 minutes. This has 2-0 to Villa by half time written all over it. None of it is a surprise.

Crying it in sometimes pays off. McNeil puts us ahead.

Watch VAR chalk this off.

You just know when you miss the chance to kill a game off like Calvert-Lewin did there that a goal at the other end is right around the corner...

Does that apply for Watkins missing that chance just now too

I didn't expect anything from this match but the most insufferable thing is going to be people making out that losing a 2-0 lead here is remotely the same as the 2-0 lead we blew two weeks ago.

Don't worry next week you get a 2-0 lead and don't lose the game.
