Juventus ready to offer Medhi Benatia to Arsenal to secure Aaron Ramsey transfer Metro Sports Reporter Friday 11 Jan 2019 12:43 pm

Juventus are reportedly prepared to offer Medhi Benatia to Arsenal in order to get a deal over the line for Aaron Ramsey this January. Ramsey becomes a free agent in the summer and the 28-year-old midfielder has agreed to join Juve where he is set to become the club’s second-highest paid player behind Cristiano Ronaldo. However, Juventus are yet to reach an agreement with Arsenal and the Serie A club are exploring every avenue in order to win the race for Ramsey. Gazzetta Dello Sport suggests that Juve is set to include Benatia in any potential deal for the Wales international.

Aaron Ramsey has reportedly agreed a deal to join Juventus in the summer and will sign a contract on Friday.

But the Bianconeri still want to take him to Turin this month.

Italian outlet  Tuttosport  say terms have been agreed between Ramsey and Juve - a €4.5million-a-year, four-year contract - but Arsenal  still want to hold on to the midfielder for the rest of the season.

The Gunners are demanding £20million to allow him to leave now, but the Old Lady are negotiating in a bid to lower the asking price.

Ramsey is out of contract at the Emirates at the end of the season and Arsenal withdrew the offer of a new contract in September.

The 28-year-old reportedly even had a secret medical with Juve on Sunday - 24 hours after the Gunners were beaten by West Ham at the London Stadium.

Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey signs Juventus pre-contract agreement

Last Updated: 17/01/19 10:30pm

Aaron Ramsey has signed a pre-contract agreement to join Juventus from Arsenal in the summer, according to Sky in Italy.

The midfielder completed his Juventus medical over the weekend, and Sky Sports News understands the move will be made official in February.

Ramsey has been free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement this month with clubs outside England permitted to sign Premier League players in the final six months of their contracts.

Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the 28-year-old but Juventus have remained his first choice, according to Sky sources.

Aaron Ramsey to make at least £83.2m over four years at Juventus after signing pre-contract agreement worth over £400,000 a week... and he'll be Britain's highest-paid player ever!

Aaron Ramsey will become Britain's highest-paid player of all-time after signing a staggering £400,000-a-week-plus pre-contract deal at Juventus.

The 28-year-old has penned a four-year deal with the Italian giants and will join them in the summer when he leaves Arsenal as a free agent.

The humongous figures mean that the Wales international stands to make at least £83.2million during his time in Italy.

This isn't really hard to understand though, without a fee more can go into the wages. Ramsey is a £60-70m player in this market. So if they were to pay a fee of that sort he'd probably be on around 200k. With PSG, Barcelona and Madrid after his services though, I imagine that's why the deal got pushed so high.

How often do you get an elite midfielder still in his prime for a free, no brainer of a deal for Juve.

Gutted to lose him but happy for him at the same time. Acted like a professional through all of this (even though he's not even being used). He's getting a load of money while getting an easier path to trophies so good luck to him.

I think Ramsey is a great player. Would have been nice to bring him in, but that salary is mental. Good for him on getting a Chinese club wage at one of the best teams in the world. Well and truly took a massive step up in his career.

Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly rejected a swap deal from Juventus for forward Raúl Jiménez.

The 29-year-old is wanted by the Serie A winners and a leading Welsh midfielder could be involved in the deal.

Italian outfit Corriere dello Sport say forward Gonzalo Higuaín was used as part of a possible deal, as well as offering Aaron Ramsey in a separate deal. (clwbpeldroed)Arrow.png.8e1ef9427e850e4454b4e395639230b2.png
