Yep - heard about this this morning as he wasn't in the Starting XI for Inter.

Would be a giant loss, but unless you play for Juventus, I'm not sure how attractive Serie A is anymore if you are considered 'elite'.

@Panna King @6666 @Asura @shut up  why is defense not the priority?

Arsenal have so many defenders but the problem is they are either Injured, old, not ready or they are shit.

List of defensive players at Arsenal

Bellerin, Lichtstiener, Jenkinson, Monreal, Kolasinac, Sokratis, Koscienly, Holding, Mustafi, Mavropanos.

People at the club are probably reluctant to spend more money on defenders until some of those who are currently in the squad are gone.  Arsenal are short in wide positions.

One thing that I don't quite get. Aren't premier league clubs only allowed 23 man squad's? How can you get new players in without selling some old ones?

Well who wants any of those defenders we have? Mustafi cost 36 million!  Unless they are free so they will have to run down their contracts to leave the club.

25-man squad. Players aged 21 or under at 1st January 2018 don't count towards the 25-man total.

Yeah he did but doesn't mean he can't be sold. We would make a loss but there you go

Tottenham to launch a summer bid for Ivan Perisic after Mauricio Pochettino 'fell in love' with how Inter star played in Champions League group stage.

Tottenham are preparing to launch a summer transfer bid for Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic.

Perisic has attracted the interest of Manchester United and Spurs' north London rivals Arsenal in recent years, but Mauricio Pochettino is hoping to be the man to finally land the winger.

According to Italian outlet Tuttosport, Pochettino 'fell in love' with how the Croatia international played when his side took on Inter in the Champions League group stage.

Spurs have reportedly made overtures to Inter about a proposed move for the 30-year-old and contacted the Serie A club in January.

Perisic has been reintegrated into the squad at the San Siro after a move to Arsenal fell through last month – he is, however, expected to move on this summer.

And while he appears set to move to north London, it looks increasingly likely it will be Tottenham rather than the Gunners.

Tuttosport claim Spurs could use either Moussa Sissoko or Serge Aurier as a makeweight in any proposed deal this summer.

With Tottenham having gone two transfer markets without making a signing, fans will be desperate to see a new face through the door when the window opens ahead of next season.

Bayern Munich are apparently at an advanced stage in their pursuit of signing Perisic. It looks like Sane's injury has prevented him from joining Bayern and Perisic might be moving to Munich instead.

Yeah this one isnt too much of a shock. Kovac wanted him last summer apparently. Its a fine depth signing, which we still need as our two starters on the wings are fairly injury prone. The word was we are looking at a 1 year loan with option to buy for around €30m.

Done deal as was posted in the Bayern thread.

After many weeks of what seemed like an unhinged and dramatic transfer window, Bayern Munichhave announced the successful signing of Croatian midfielder Ivan Perišić as a loanee from Inter Milan. The contract lasts one year, with the option for the club to buy the player next summer. The details regarding the transfer fee and other financial information are yet to be clear, but it is rumored that the loan fee is €5m with the option to buy being another €20m.

After inking the deal, the winger told FCBayern:

Everybody knows that Bayern is a really big club. For me, it comes in the best five in the world. When a club like this calls, you cannot say no. That’s the reason I came here and I promise to give my best everyday.

Perisic, while not being a Leroy Sane, is a player that will be able to handle both the left and right flanks since he is two footed and has experience playing on both sides throughout his career. When asked about what position he would be comfortable at the club, the Croatian responded that he’s open to everything and will play wherever the coach needs him to.

After the dissapointment of Sane's injury, Bayern have done well to secure Perisic for 5 million Euros for this season at least. Perisic already has Bundesliga experience and he can do a very good job on the wing. This cheap purchase will allow Bayern to still pursue other wingers and the other offensive players that they require. This is a good deal, under the circumstances for Bayern, in my opinion.
