Dont know why but I think Villa might actually come out and get a win here. They aren't bad by any stretch of the imagination and they even causes Spurs some problems (albeit that was more of a tactical mishap from the manager).

Tough game, like the rest really. We should be looking to win it though. No doubt their place will be buzzing with it being Friday night and not wanting them to lose three on the bounce to start the season, so the atmosphere will be challenging for us.

I've predicted 1-1 I think but we definitely should be looking to leave with 3 points.

Pickford

Coleman Keane Mina Digne

Gbamin Gomes

Richarlison Sigurdsson Bernard

Kean?

This one should be interesting. Villa and their fans I think will be pissed off about that last loss and desperately wanting some points on the board. But Everton have demonstrated a resolute defense and with Richarlison they’ll always have a goal threat - and with their quality defending so far this season they may feel comfortable playing counter attacking football against a side desperate for its first win upon returning to the league.

Spent most of the evening browsing Twitter for "Everton that" memes for when we lose 2-0.

One change as Gbamin (injured) is replaced by Schneiderlin who returns from suspension.

I think we lack a cutting edge I really do, final balls are off etc. We need half a dozen games to gel

Why do villa sing allez so much? Surely they have their own songs?

Has promotion conitations the squad led them in a version of it after winning the playoff final.

Conversely why are you so obsessed with it?

Obsessed? One comment? Don't be so touchy. You're a big club, shouldn't be singing another club's song, imo.

You’ve mentioned it in every match day thread lol. I can’t be arsed to go back, just an observation is all

Liverpool sing it a lot.

Just saying.

That's my point. In England it's associated with Liverpool (nobody IN England  had heard it before they started singing it). Villa are a big club with their own history of chants. It's normal for a club like Hull to pick up bigger club chants but villa are better than that.
