The four South American nations have called for the World Cup to return to "where football was born".

Nice of them to lobby for us to host it.

Hillsbrough would need a lot of work, Bramall Lane not so much

Well morroco is right next to Spain. Wasn't the idea just to host the first game in Uruguay?

If that's what they do it's not to bad, other than the teams fans who have to play Uruguay in Montevideo and then fly back to Europe.  The articles says games in three South American countries, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

I think that's a separate bid mate. It is a bit confusing having a country involved in two bids though

It's not.

Montevideo in Uruguay, the city which hosted the first World Cup match in 1930, is poised to stage the opening game in 2030 with matches in Argentina and Paraguay to follow.

The rest of the 48-team tournament will then move to north Africa and Europe.

Well that's a stupid idea

So the 3 games played in South America, will they involve Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay all playing at home providing all three qualify against a non South America team?  Or will they involve the three host teams Spain, Portugal and Morroco playing against whoever is drawn in their groups?

Seems all 6 countries will get automatic qualifucation.

Most of them probably would qualify anyway. However Morocco and Paraguay may well not of. I do wonder of one day countries and teams might break away from fifa because of all the greed and corruption. It would be hard but I think it could be done.  Interesting thing is a lot of the corruption started in 1978 when all the money got into fifa. I doubt there has been a world cup since that hasn't had dodgy voting because of bribes.

So the next World Cup is North America. The World Cup after that is Europe, Africa, and South America even though nobody asked for that.

So now Asia has to host the World Cup 12 years from now… and only Saudi Arabia bid for it was the only country ready to put a bid forth short notice.

Nothing dodgy about that at all

Yeah apparently Australia were considering it but they couldn't meet the criteria. I think that criteria was how much dirty money can you pay us and they couldn't match Saudi because they have more morals and decency about them and don't want to mix with the corruption.

Convinced World Cup 2044 will be played on Mars and Neptune at this rate.

Neptune doesn't have a surface. Could play it on Mercury,Venus and Mars. Venus gets a bit hot in the summer though so might have to play it in the winter. Also rains acid so players might have to wear  protective cream.

Breathing and gravity are no concern to you?
