  1. Came across this earlier today... Some scans from a book making predictions about 21st century living, from 1979 - Usborne’s The World of the Future series: Future Cities. Pretty fascinating to see how they imagined future at the time!

  4. I’ll be back in England by then mate. Yeah the classic backpacker route is the east coast, would recommend doing the Whitsunday Islands and Frasier Island, both absolutely amazing. Sydney is great, let me know how long you’re there for and I can give you some info on stuff to do if you need anything. Having not been to Canberra I don’t feel like I’ve missed anything out there, as everyone says it’s shit Perth/Fremantle is nice for a visit, lovely beaches and has Little Creatures brewery Definitely look into the East Coast, so much to do.

  5. Eh, I forgot to put Perth on the list. Think we discussed that as a way to break up the journey to the eastern side. Potentially to Dubai or Singapore, then on to Aus so Perth is just as realistic to be honest. I'd rather avoid @Danny I'm excited just thinking about it . Could be spending about 3 weeks there so will be one hell of a trip no doubt.

  6. I’m sorry to hear that you’re not doing the glorious west. Canberra would be an utter waste of time in my opinion. Haven’t even been to Uluru but it’s on the bucket list. I would suggest almost anywhere in Queensland, I’m sure @Dannywould also highly recommend that state particularly in summer! How exciting though lad!

  7. Expected that reaction Not sure yet as still working out planning. Sydney and Melbourne are definitely on the list. Then Alice Springs and Uluru/Ayers Rock. Potentially another city like Adelaide or Canberra. Nothing for definite yet but it's likely to be a reality we head to that part of the world

  10. Happy belated birthday @Faithcore! On behalf of all of us, I apologise for missing this most important event of the year; it's truly unacceptable. Officially renaming the forum to Talk Faithcore 365 is the least we can do to make up for this inexcusable fiasco.

  12. I always said I would but never got around to it, living in this 2nd floor flat would be no good anyway, I can just imagine setting it up in our back room looking out the window, and knowing my luck someone would report me as a peeping tom with a telescope!!

  13. How much time you got? I'd recommend a day trip to both Sintra and Cascais. Go check Lisbon's Ocenarium, which is the best in the world, and if you want a very Portuguese experience, visit Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and Castelo de São Jorge, then have dinner at some restaurant with live Fado and eat anything with cod in it.

  14. 430 from SA and 300 in Pakistans 2nd innings on a supposedly "dangerous and not up to international standard pitch" suggests Mickey Arthur is full of shit and a bitter little turd head. Maybe you should make the Pakistan team do more homework you doodle smoking dick tickler.

  15. I think the simple answer is better footballers and more of them but there's obviously a bit more to it than that. Under Rodgers, mainly in 12/13 and 14/15, it was stop Suarez and then later Sturridge or Coutinho and you stop Liverpool. In Klopp's first year to 18 months it wasn't necessarily always a case of us struggling to break teams down. We had a few results against lesser sides where we scored once or twice in a game at home but still failed to win. I can think of a few 2-2 draws and a 2-3 defeat to Swansea off the top of my head. Alisson and Van Dijk have changed everything for this side. You never felt confident that we'd keep clean sheets before those two and we no longer have to score 3+ to guarantee a win. The options off the bench or when we make a few changes are obviously also much better now too. With a stronger defence and midfield now too we've seen Klopp go with a 4-2-3-1 quite often this season to fit Shaqiri in which obviously helps our attacking options but hasn't taken much away from the defensive solidity.
