A lot of people are traveling to and from China right around now because they've got their New Year coming up on Saturday - I can understand why a place with a large Chinese student population would be a bit paranoid about the disease spreading. They probably have family coming to visit, or have just come back. With the symptoms being basically the exact same as the common cold... I'd certainly be worried if I was coming into contact with someone who'd just been to China.1 point

I agree that a summer off with time to recuperate would benefit a lot of players. Especially the midfield considering the energy that is required to operate to the manager's gameplan. Having said that you have to also ask the question about how these players are getting conditioned to weather the situations that are thrown at them. Look at Rashford and the possible long-term damage its going to do to him and then you look at the fact that we've had players out for such long spells and then they get reintroduced only to get injuries again. Part of me wants to say that the players just want to play (I get that its why you're at the club) and some things a physio can never really tell like the amount of pain you're willing to play through. Having said all that I am glad Fabinho is back and I am sure the rest of the squad will be back soon enough to help out with what is possibly the hardest part of the season and getting over the finish line domestically while keep their eyes on the European games as well I would like Keita to get to this Redbull form because if you see him playing there he's a totally different player to what we see him at Liverpool. It's also all the congestion and rotation that has forced the club to keep these players coming in and doing a job where necessary and its probably not helped that he has gotten time to play when realistically a deeper and fully fit squad could help with the ease back into his role.1 point

Yeah, sorry. I wasn't meaning to belittle your obviously very real concern. Just more the British press with headlines like 'KILLER VIRUS HEADING TO UK' do not help matters and are just preying on people's concerns. The amount of people effected so quickly is a concern but still a fairly low death number of 17, it may well prove to be highly infectious but not so deadly. Hopefully.1 point

Because people in question work in industries that cater directly to Chinese tourists and expats + the medical care in the country is poor. With the Lunar New Year approaching, mass travel is to be expected and the chances of the virus spreading among certain groups increases, especially as it's adapting and mutating. Don't know if you remember the outbreak of SARS but it ended up killing around 800 people (mortality of 10%) and not only those who were elderly/young or had pre-existing health conditions. MERS has a mortality of at least 35%. This new strain comes from the same family of coronaviruses and appears to be more contagious. No need to panic but people who have a relatively high chance of being exposed to it are understandably starting to worry a bit.1 point

A creative, adventurous attacking midfielder. We'll knock that out of him.1 point

Many in China travel around the country for New Year to meet up with family. It's a busy travelling time. This could escalate across the country and be out of control fast.1 point

Be funny if we all die by January 31st, so we're still in the EU when we become extinct.1 point

Why? It's affecting what, 0.0001% of the population? Even in those it does it's mostly a cough and a sniffle, it is dangerous for the elderly and young, like any flu. Anyway, we're due a massive pandemic. Possibly wipe us all out? Be good for every other living thing.1 point

I worry a bit now about Australia as I have family out there and they do get a lot of Asian visitors or emigrants arriving.1 point

I asked a friend who breeds fish and works on aquariums about this today morning and he said it could happen for a lot of reasons the most common one being stress. If the water levels are okay and there isn't anything in the tank raising the ammonia level, coupled with the other parrot getting better, then its just stress and it will get better with time. The biggest help you can be to the fish is to give them hiding spots (which you have) to reduce stress and test the water things will be just fine. You can also keep the water fresh with a 35% displacement but you also said your friend is coming over to give you the low-down on the tank so I'd wait to hear from him first before doing anything else chances are they are just getting used to the new surroundings and the stress elevated in the process.1 point
