I think I would be an outstanding diplomat/ intelligence officer. I also think I'd be great in physio and rehab. One of those paths is a lot more clear to me and I've worked hard to get there. I'm going for exercise science.

In seriousness, you should definitely get a test. A lot of people get it without symptoms so the taste and smell test is reassuring but irrelevant. If you don't have it you should take the test so you know for sure that you're not spreading it. If you do have it you should take the test so that you know you need to stay away from people. Either way the best thing to do is take the test and find out to remove the risk of you spreading it by accident which is going to make you feel like a dick down the line.

I quit academia years ago en route to my PhD for similar reasons, so I can relate somewhat (although I had both good and bad experiences) - that said, if you're not looking for an academic career, then getting the company to pay for your education is surely a no brainer?... Especially considering it's an online programme so your exposure to the actual bullshit of academia would be rather limited... Must also say I had some absolutely fantastic online courses too.

Same. Failing that, it is real, and he has benefitted from the immediacy of the best medical care someone could get in that situation. So no wonder he's recovered so quickly. I mean, why can't everyone else just jump on a helicopter and go to the best medical centre around at the drop of a hat? No wonder he's so boastful (unsurprisingly) at 'beating' it. If he truly does have it, we'll see how he is in the next few days when apparently the virus would have actually incubated within him and the initial cocktail of medication and steroids and pills wear off. What shocked me the other day is when the doctor doing the press conference outside the hospital couldn't say how much supplemental oxygen he was given. He's the doctor ffs. Surely it's something you'd know, how much treatment your patient, let alone the president (!), has been given in the past 12-24 hours. Otherwise how can a rational decision be made about what future medicine/treatment is to be given later that day for example?!

I've never been less sure. At this point I think there's a 33% chance he's faked the whole thing. A 33% chance he's still sick as fuck and back in hospital by next week. Probably a 33% that he had COVID for about a week longer than was said and told noone, until it became clear he needed hospital at which time he acted like he just caught it. And 0.001% chance he's r caught Covid on Thursday and got better by Monday, basically faster than any person ever, with Kim Jung UN like perfection. This is currently what we're being asked to swallow as the truth, which is fucking bizarre.

Of course it isn't, the company is fine to work for, they do take care of their employees but fuck me customers are cunts in hospitality, especially americans
