Went out for a walk with my niece this morning. Lovely morning.

Cheesy chicken Parmigiana.

Made another Ragù alla bolognese. Started with a simple sofrito (chopped onions, carrots and celery) sautéed in butter and olive oil, added ground beef and a bit of pork which I extracted from Salsiccia. Deglazed with red wine, whole milk, added some tomato paste and beef stock and cooked it for 3 1/2 hours until it had the right texture. Rounded up with some salt and black pepper, served with parmigiano reggiano. As original as it gets.

I'm still not sure what people dislike so much about Merkel. She's respected across the world, led Germany through some 6 U.S. Presidents and remained on great terms, rose the GDP and I think she did well with all the Brexit shit. I wish she could come here and lead our country for a decade, although the way politics are here, I wouldn't wish that for anyone.

Meanwhile you have Angela Merkel visiting the region, holding hands with the prime minster of Rhineland-Palatinate, who suffers from multiple sclerosis and usually can't walk far without a wheelchair. Years ago I'd never thought I'd say this, but I'm going to miss Merkel as our chancellor, especially if you see what might follows.

@Viva la FCB - Did you hear Price waived his NMC and Montreal didn't protect him for the upcoming Kraken draft? Unlikely that Seattle take him as it would greatly help the Canadiens and that contract is a beast, but still crazy to thing that Carey Price could be playing for another team next year.

I was baptised and I’m not really religious. And it helped me get into a school, not private but it was a good school. Mother of my child is more religious than me, and we were due to get the daughter baptised but Covid halted it. Still not got round to it yet. I’m not mega religious as I’ve said but there’s a % of me that finds it a special day whenever I’ve been to any.

@Eco went to the Van Gogh experience today. You where right, absolutely amazing to see. Well worth going to and I was kinda just tagging along as I feel like i havent been to an event in like 2 years

I honestly can't say if I was baptised or not but I know the wife was and she maintained when we married that if and when we had children they would be baptised come hell or high water. Thus, our son & daughter were baptised in the same church and by the same minister in Dalkeith, Scotland, many moons ago now yet me and the wife are not that religious but as the wife says "You have not got a name until you are baptised..."

It back fired on me the other day. I pulled a sicky at work on Tues(there was nothing wrong with me, I just couldn't be arsed) and they wouldn't let me back until I did a covid test . So I ended up losing 3 days instead of 1.

Just moved to Act III on Ghost of Tsushima. Still really enjoying it and excited to see how it all unfolds - will probably try and get as many collectables as I can too, both because of how much I'm enjoying it and also because I don't know what to move onto next. I haven't played it, but basically everyone said that the graphics were outstanding but the rest of the game was a bit shit. There are two boss battles which are both QTE's with the second battle being a copy/paste of the first.
