Everything worked out pretty well overall I would say. Took a little bit of time by boat but relatively no hitches! Just in time to watch the Canada Belgium match Big thanks again to @Tommyn without him this would not have been a thing! I would bet theres a very small amount of people with these kits on this side of continent!
It looks even better in person, I love the colour and badging. Also a bit special to finally get a Davies Bayern kit. I was fortunate enough he played in MLS for my local team (Vancouver Whitecaps) for a few seasons . I was able to see him break in and take the league over and then watch his growth with Bayern and now even the Canadian National team. Anyways I'm super stoked thanks again tommy my man!
It's mostly the point of the thread.... All the same horrible things or worse occurred in 'The Good Old Days' only we were shielded from the worst of it because we didn't have social media in our faces from the moment we opened our eyes.. Health & Safety was non existent, medicine was not as advanced, war and murder was still going on around the world but we were oblivious to most of it so we saw ye olden days as mostly a positive adventure in our youth... I mean this was the kind of headline news we were getting...
On the plus side, we learnt through our own mistakes and most people had a lot more common sense growing up and a lot of the better things from the past are sadly missing like getting my 3 shillings pay at the end of the month for completing 42 chimneys... Used to look forward to that... money well earned
Definitely. BILD was even worse. Straight up bare titties on the frontpage. I remember seeing them on the newspaper vending machines, for everyone to see.
That shirt has quite a journey behind it. Anyway, you're welcome. Happy that it finally arrived, and in one piece too.
I was confused because on the tracker it said it was taken to Frankfurt. That's where Germany's biggest airport is, and it's nowhere near the ocean. So I didn't even realise that it was being delivered by boat.
Windhorst has found a potential buyer of his Hertha shares -777 partners, who're among other clubs, already owners of Sevilla and CFC Genova. Now Hertha BSC and, probably more in question, DFL have to agree. Would like to know the selling price, didn't find a source for it, yet.
