  2. Resi 2 gave me two shit your pants moments as I simply didn't expect it. One involving a licker and the other (which never gets spoken about surprisingly) involving the tyrant. I don't tend to jump that easily as you can see when it's coming, but those two moments definitely shit my pants.

  5. They actually kept the rocks in a bag under the mattress, and even that's disputable, as this story is quite a bit fictionalised. Regolith is extremely abrasive, during the Apollo missions, it ate through 3 layers of Kevlar... And it's also toxic. There's no way they spread them on the bed and had sex on them

  11. I used to have sleepovers at my best friend's place at the time and Resident Evil is also what we played late at night alone with the lights off. I think I have been scarred by the experience...

  12. I remember playing the Resident Evil games as a kid, and always shitting myself when I opened a door.

  13. Well that's an odd angle to take in any sense. Quite clear what 'ethnic background' means and is quite a common term.

  14. Alien Isolation is the game I know I will never play, thanks to @Mel81x's great depiction of how scary it is a while ago I am ok with tension and suspense, but I'm a complete chickenshit when it comes to jumpscares and monsters appearing out of nowhere

  15. That's interesting. There's a few games like that but you have no idea how it gets there until the end. I liked Until Dawn and managed to save five of the eight (annoyingly, I couldn't kill off the one I hated), but don't remember if there's a path that saves all of them.

  16. German managers get chances at big German clubs though. It's alright saying employ an English manager but your club doesn't.

  21. Wouldn't say I've been bed-bound but I've had a cold/flu* for about 3 weeks now. Just lingers around and can't shift it. *it's manflu but worse, potentially.

  22. Well he did stay on the van himself in the front. Covid was a bit rampant then because of the football and people going to the pub. From his point of view with his health of he gets it it could kill him. But yeah he is obsessed no doubt. He still insists on tests now. In this is the even weirder part. I have to send him a picture. Me just telling him the result isn't enough. And the even stranger part is that he even says he trusts me to be honest and has even admitted he's aware I could just send him an old picture and fake the result but it makes him feel better. I have sympathy because I have anxiety and also OCD. He doesn't have ocd more a phobia. However you have to at least attempt to help yourself. Its hard when someone makes no attempt to listen or help themselves.

  23. We really have hit rock bottom in this country... My missus has an elderly mum that is not very mobile and has a number of health issues ( she is 86 ) and she goes down to her once or twice a week to make sure she is ok and has enough food and that the bills are paid and to sort out any other issues etc.. Well she had a fall sometime in the early hours of the morning due to an attack of some description which set off her emergency alarm... The Fire Brigade arrived at her property and instead of using the emergency key located outside in a box to allow them in they set about breaking in.. It took them a full hour to break down the secure door according to the neighbours and she was then taken to Kingston Hospital where she had to wait nearly 5 hours before she was seen by a doctor. The door has been completely shattered down one side.. then they attempted to screw back the frame but everything else is damaged... Because it was badly damaged you could close the door but not secure it.. The locking mechanism was completely torn off the frame.. My other half's sister is currently up there now with her. I understand they will not allow her back home as they are concerned about her mobility and will be moving her to a secure housing unit where she will at least be monitored... My missus sent me pictures of the door and she could not get it to lock despite trying to put it back together which meant the property would be unsecured, Also the outer door to the flats is unsecured which means anyone on the prowl would have a field day just walking in... She phoned Kingston Council and the earliest they claim they can sort it out is January 27th!!! Bearing in mind this is the property of a vunerable 86 year old woman I find that fucking appalling... Her primary carer has also not been available to talk to all day... Now I don't say these things to have a go at our emergency services or doctors or nurses because no doubt they are doing the best they can with what little resources they have and I hear a lot of things along these lines happening to a lot of people and for sure the Health system is about as poor as it can be, Underfunded, Underpaid workers, and absolutely no accountability for those in charge of funding or policies... Life shouldn't be this difficult for people... We just seem to be getting worse and worse
