For once, the blanket Verstappen pole prediction didn't come off this weekend, with nobody brave enough to veer from the rest of the pack, it's a sea of red for this weekend's pole position predictions.
The other prediction that was resolved on Saturday was the question of which Alpha Tauri driver would qualify best. Using the Q1 times for comparison (not really fair to use the Q2 Medium run for Ricciardo's eventual time), the returning Aussie pipped Tsunoda by 0.013 seconds. While @Stan, @MUFC and @The Palace Fan correctly predicted which way round the two drivers would line up, only @Whiskey and @Coma went for a narrow enough margin to pick up the 5 points.
Normal service was resumed on Sunday, with Verstappen's win granting every single person 5 points. @OrangeKhrush was the only person to predict a second podium finisher exactly correct, placing Lando Norris in 2nd to score another 5 points. @nudge also deserves credit as the only person to predict all three podium finishers correctly, but missed out on the perfect podium jackpot with Perez and Norris the wrong way round. @RandoEFC, @Stan, @MUFC, @Tommy, @Whiskey, @The Palace Fan and @DeadLinesman all predicted either Perez or Norris on the podium but in the wrong position, leaving them with a total of 7 points for their podiums, with @Coma left out of the fun.
Finally, our random driver was classified despite a late retirement for the second race running. As Logan Sargeant didn't finish the race but was also officially classified in 18th place, 5 points each go to @Stan, @DeadLinesman and @OrangeKhrush for this prediction, leaving the latter as this weekend's top scorer.
Hungary's top scorer, @OrangeKhrush leaps from 4th to 1st in the individual championship, with @RandoEFC losing 2 places in the process having slipped behind @Stan. @Whiskey and @DeadLinesman also gain a few points on those around them.
Mercedes consolidate their lead in the Constructors' Championship as this weekend's joint highest scorers. Aston Martin have lost two positions in the standings after scoring the fewest points this week. Alpine outscored the three teams above them meaning that the four teams behind Mercedes are now separated by just 2 points overall.
Predictions for Belgium will be up tomorrow.
