Lukaku is gone and I can't think of a single player that they could attract that will replace 25 goals a season?

Its ok having money to spend, it's attracting the players that's the problem!

Weve suffered it for years.

I've said plenty of times, we won't try to replace his goals, it'll be a different type of player.

If you exclude Lukaku's 24 Premier League goals from our side this season we'll have gone from 7th to an embarrassing low to...7th.

He's scored over a third of your goals. Without him you'd have been fucked xD

He has won us a few games but the gap to 8th is that much that it wouldn't make a difference. Going back from this last few goals;

3rd goal in a 3-1 win against Burnley

2nd and 4th goal win against Leicester

3rd and 4th goal 4-0 win against Hull

3rd goal 3-0 win against West Brom

1st goal 3-2 loss against Spurs

2nd goal 2-0 win against Sunderland

1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th goals win against Bournemouth

1st goal 4-0 win against City

3rd goal 3-0 win against Southampton

That's just in 2017. Any goal, unless a consolation goal right at the end is important but we'd be in the same position without his.

No, not wearing that. Everton would have struggled without his goals.

You are not taking into account the amount of attention teams give to Lukaku. He's basically your only goal threat.

Compare your other goal scorers to those of ours. Mane, Lallana, Firmino, Coutinho, have all scored more than any of your players barring Lukaku.

Seriously mate, he'll take some replacing.

Not nearly as much as first thought.

There's of course the argument that, for example, his goal against City swung the game in our favour or the goal against Sunderland ended their chances of getting back in the game.

Take away his goals and the points we'd drop would be;

1 point rather than 3 - Sunderland away

0 points rather than 1 - Palace home

0 points rather than 1 - City away

0 points rather than 3 - Bournemouth home

1 point rather than 3 - Leicester home

9 points won. We'd still be sitting 7th but closer to 8th than we are now.

Ok.

If you think Eveton would be anywhere near where they finished without Lukaku then fair enough. We'll leave it there.

Without Lukaku, yeah absolutely, he has a few assists as well. And his presence is enough to put the shits up the majority of teams in this league like you mentioned above (after I'd clicked quote to reply, you've got to stop doing that).

Just his goals though. Nope.

Olivier Giroud?

I don't know...  Put it this way, Everton's football suits Giroud a lot more than Arsenal's.  Giroud has been the odd man out since he arrived to be honest and I think he could flourish at a club like Everton.  I always said that the Frenchman could do a better job elsewhere.  I don't particularly rate Lukaku all that highly....  Overvalued and definitely overpriced for me.

We've apparently had a €75m bid for Mbappe rejected.

Good to see us showing some ambition, but I can't it happening. Monaco don't need the money and, while the Premier League is better than Ligue 1, Monaco are better than us at the moment.

Linked with Bakayoko again.  They are asking for 42 million.

Word is in France that Monaco will be willing to sell Bernardo Silva, Fabinho and potentially Thomas Lemar but Bakayoko and Mbappe are considered unsellable barring truly obscene offers.
