Transfer Rumours 2017

Hope we get the buys as soon as possible to have a full pre season, i wonder how much youth will Conte use and which one's will leave on loan or be sold.

Knowing our board, highly unlikely.

Koulibaly, Nainggolan, Morata, Lukaku, and Romanagli were all Conte's preferred choices last summer. Didn't get any of them because our board were low balling every asking price until the club just told us to fuck off.

Look at City. Silva, Ederson, Walker, Mendy, and Fabinho all soon to be announced and it's not even June yet. What ever the club asks, they match the price.

Just read that Chelsea have the worst record of all the clubs in england for intergrating youth into the first team.

Its not happening mate.

I accept its unlikely as you state, however, I wouldnt want to point any fingers at our board or whoever is the decision maker on transfers.

We made 3 of the very best moves of all PL clubs last season including paying less than United paid to Pogba's agent, for Kante.

With the Manchester media spouting Matic wants a re-union with Jose, it looks like there will be more bodies leaving before we start bringing the fresh meat.

Strangely, I have a confidence in our manager to make the correct decisions again, and I am not worried how long it takes for those decisions to be made.

City do like to splash their cash, but the names you list as their hits for the summer, hardly have anyone shaking.

Considering our board has the tendency to not strengthen after a title win, I'm fearing that they will yet again rely on Conte to perform miracles with the squad he has and low ball everyone of his preferred targets.  We've seen it last season, and with the title win profits, Nike Sponsorship, and China transfer profits, we really should be spending. If not, I wouldn't blame Conte for leaving.

And to be fair, even with Alonso, Kante, and Luiz, we were still headed towards another hectic season. It was only until after the Arsenal defeat,  Conte was fed up with the old model and implemented his own, the 3 at the back.

Pep lays out his targets, and they get them. No lowballing. They match the price.

City get rid of deadweight  and add Fabinho, Ederson, and two proper wingbacks, (Walker and Mendy) and they will have fixed their team for next season by June.

I agree with the extra games next season we will need strengthening and for sure, we are not short of money.

Using Pep and Manchester City as an example of getting business done early is ok, but I state again, they LOVE to waste money and nothing they have done so far and other players they are linked with, has me thinking they will be any different next season.

We will buy, but unlike the old days, we tend to make good calls in the transfer market and I am confident, this time, unlike previous times we have won the PL, we will make those important buys to move up another level.

Have a little faith my fellow Chelsea man! :ay:

Explain Dijilobodji, Cuadrado, Kenedy, Salah, Van Ginkel, Rahman, Miazga, Pasalic, Hector, Traore, Atsu, etc.

Profits potential and make weights ~ Its that simple

Dont see many Chelsea players aloud to run their contracts down n released for free.

You really should have more confidence in your club. :ay:

It goes against your point?  These aren't signings that a club looking to compete in all fronts make and it also goes to show the amount of money we threw away on players, Salah, Rahman, Cuadrado etc.

How much potential are we buying, and of which will ever play football with us? No club in Europe spends this much money on 'potential'.

We need to be getting signings the manager wants. None of this low balling bollocks and no more buying players the manager obviously doesn't wan.t

I dont agree we have thrown money away. More like we have made a profit on players who have failed to make the grade at our level and we continue to do so. Remember, when one of our players goes out on loan, clubs pay us a loan fee as well as pay their wages. Surly you know this?

The club make the decisions on Potential players. I fully understand its a bit of a minefield, but thats the game we play with all other top clubs. Trying to unearth a cheaper potential player who comes to fruition as a nugget. Personally, I am all for missing out on the John Stones of this world taken by a club who didnt low ball that you speak so highly of. Its a hell of a list of misses by the club you praise for their no nonsense approach.

Again, you should have more confidence in your club and allow them a little slack to get whoever the manager wants to the club.

Frankly, until he signs the new improved contract himself, how the hell can we convince his preferences to join?

City's only problems last season was the defence and injury's  ..we are well on the way to fixing that and if this team below doesn't worry you, you are as mad as a box of frogs!!

Ederson - Don't know him, neither do you. Might be good, might not be.

Kompany - Will be injured most of the time.

Laporte - From La Liga, show him a picture of Messi or Ronaldo and he'll move out the way.

Walker - From Tottenham, come close to winning anything and he'll have a heart attack.

Mendy - Just a younger Gael Clichy with no Premier League experience.

Gundogan - Injury prone, fat boy.

De Bruyne - Chelsea reject.

Silva - Getting old and has become less and less influential in games every season.

Bernardo - Lightweight that will be bullied.

Sane - Will show up a couple of times a month, has a lot to learn.

Jesus - Will be ruined by money and think he's already on the same level as the real Ronaldo and will quickly become fat and get caught up in shemale scandals.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Arsene Wenger has asked Arsenal to pursue the signings of Sandro Ramírez and Fornals of Málaga.  How true this is I don't know but there are various European clubs after Sandro (Barça have first option on him after having sold him to Málaga last summer).

Wenger le pide al Arsenal los fichajes de Sandro y Fornals

The above in bold is incorrect. Quite a number of players from clubs that have large numbers of players in their U23s and youth system are now sending players out for no fee and no wage reimbursement. The theory being that the impact of regular football is more important than recouping the costs. The amount of money though that the top sides are putting into these areas is far from being recovered.

We were talking about players Chelsea have signed for big fees. Our conversation was nothing to do with youth players we have produced.

But thanks for taking an interest  :ay:

I am sure you was spouting the same kinda stuff this time last year...Naming teams on paper, jumping up and down as another name mentioned & along with most of the brain dead pundits tipping City to win everything.... Look how that worked out for you.

Keep calm and maybe you will win something next season.

Best news for everyone so far out of City this summer..... Aguero is staying  ;)

Various reports in Holland, Virgil van Dijk is going to Man City, 57 million euros and agreed 200,000 euros a week.

One of 3 CB's we have been linked with, price seems a bit steep though  ..is he really any better than Otamendi??

Despite neither Benfica or Manchester City officialising the transfer, Ederson Moraes has said he is 'very happy' after completing a five-year, €40 million transfer to Pep Guardiola's side.

Walker, Mendy & Ederson deals edge closer

The 23-year-old's move to the Etihad Stadium has been expected since the start of the week, though it is thought that third-party ownership issues had been holding up the deal.

Ederson has been spotted in Manchester ahead of his medical with the club early in the week, and has seemingly now confirmed that the issues have been resolved.

“I'm very happy!” the 23-year-old goalkeeper told A Bola upon returning to Lisbon on Wednesday evening, “The first impressions were very good.”

With an official announcement expected imminently, Ederson will join new midfield signing Bernardo Silva, who moved from Monaco in a reported £43m switch.

And Silva knows the young goalkeeper well from his time at Benfica.

“I had the pleasure of sharing a few moments with him coming through at Benfica – he's a great goalkeeper.

Van Dijk is probably the best centre back in the Premier League
